(could be due to the fact that Western Digital BLACK is not meant for RAID as it doesnt support TLER) not really fond of Raid anymore, dont really see a improvement tbh on a different note... what are people playing these days? Crysis 2? Portal 2? Thnx Syler |

Well, I'm playing Crysis 2 until Section 8: Prejudice is out (5th May - only $15) and then I will probably also get Brink (13th May, or 10th "in" the US). |

| well depends what your gonna do with the 2tb you buy i guess, if your gonna be chucking important files on it, then a raid 1 would work perfectly |

| yea would setup a raid config, stupid without, what raid config did you you have,
i would suggest a RAID 1, not a performance increaser but a mirror write. especially for shit you dont want lost... you would have had a raid 0 setup for performance, you know what they say, for every harddrive you have in the config multiply's the failure rate.......
you could drop to 12gig easily and do all video apps, save abit there............
there are cheaper power supply's out there, shit mine was 1000w and it ran 2 x GTX295's and a 9800x2.. cheap,
and your CPU is awesome, good reviews on that one, unlocked ond already 320 bucks cant go wrong....
thats my opinion |

thats my opinion Raid doesnt work well with my caviar blacks, however ill be using my 2TB WD Black as OS, and a couple HDDs as backups and the rest as install / apps etc. The OS HDD wont have much important files my backups / seperate HDDs will. as for the RAM there is 12GB for about 20 bux cheaper might aswell get the 16GB for 20 bux more PSU wise, there was cheaper but ive always hold a firm belief that the PSU is the heart of a PC, if its bad quality other components will suffer, for its price range it awesome @ 1.2kW Gold 90% @ 20 / 50 100% load was considering enermax but their name is what ill be paying for not performance. Was also considering the new corsair range, but theyre more expensive lol. the CPU is one of my fav components <3 ;D Apparenlty Ivy Bridge will be running on 1155 mobos? http://www.fudzilla.com/processors/item/21621-ivy-bridge-22nm-sticks-with-socket-1155Good news for us! i probably shouldve mentioned price wasnt an issue as i wont be paying for it? should be here monday |

| Intel Coreā¢ 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz 8MB Kentsfield 65nm G0 95W 1066 so this CPU have you got the latest bios the CPU shouldn't be an issue with the overclock so I'm going to put myself on the line and say it's the MOBO or a bios issue |

| yeah got a test running now with the cpu running at 3.06..... the issue is that the gaming performance is limited by the cpu ..... Its main for ppl that come over that can then have a game in mp....so as i tested BFBC2 in single player i get about 100FPS with everything on high 4xaa and 4xaf (vsync off)....but when i change to mp it jumps from 35-60 constantly because the required cpu's speed is high because of the processing of where everyone is on the map and what is going on |

| well no need to chuck it on all maxed out graphics. like i really doubt the average person who comes over is gonna complain that the aa and af settings aren't high enough etc.. it would take a bit of the load off |

| yeah...well i need to grab a mobo to replace the wine stained one later on so i can give it to another family member....might go looking then for a better one then.......but its a shame that it still jumps to a low value with the lower settings |

| also noticed that my cpu makes noises when under full stress......like not my fan...the actual chip starts making noises as soon as i hit start on prime 95....maybe i bent a pin when i inserted the chip a while back....either way no crash on default clocks....but when oc'ed it does come up with errors just updated bios, cheers MAB |

| one last update....just oc'd it back to 3.00ghz.....seems that 3 cores are at 3Ghz but the forth (one that wasn't crashing b4) isn't oc'd but staying at a different clock (lower temps and a whole 2 tests behind the other 3 cores)....anyway to check what speed each core is doing? |

| the shit thing is its under my cpu fan so i cannot get to it without having to replace the thermal compound......but i took this opportunity to buy a new mobo for my long planned TV PC..... which will consist of a new Lian Li PC-Q08B case, a Zotac mobo from the USA, my GTX 275 and the 4GB of ram i have lying around have yet to decide what psu i will throw in it but it will be a kickass rig for a loundroom media centre or lounge gaming (i have the wireless xbox 360 controller adapter for the pc so i can hook up to 4 people on project 64 to run old nice games, conkers bad fur day, mario kart...goldeneye...etc) or Crysis at 40FPS in other news, finally received my G13 & C910 (1080p webcam) today....both are epic |
