2.66Ghz, CPU-Z only showed what im using not the actual clock speed, its called EIST if i remember right, saves cpu life, only uses what it needs. and the BLK will change according to my load.

Yes thats how they keep big transformers cool. Will have to take a bit more time to think this through. Gonna maby try the freezer, looks like a better way of cooling.

My v core was 1.45 volts think i may need some 2300 mhz ddr3 to bump my cpu score up a bit more dont knw if it will make much diffrence, crysis fully maxed out will no AA i get nothing under 60 FPS

Yea they are dual 5970's.
The i7 970 will be good for benchmarks but games will be no different compare to current i7's. Reason i say that is because its still the same architecture but just with 2 added cores which games don't use atm.

The other i7's are 45 nm this is 32 nm so that makes a difference, also quite a bit more cache which is great.

The new core i5 600 series are 32 nm and they come stock at 3.9 GHz..

Stock 3.9 wow. What would be better that or an i7 930?

Well when it come's to Crysis, Crysis realy likes high clocked CPU's i dont knw why because i realy dont knw, and yes it is a dual core CPU but it supports hyper threading so technically u get 4 threads not bad, sorri they are 3.6 on a good p55 motherboard you could get that cpu all the way up 2 5 Ghz maby and crysis will run like a dream, with a good CPU cooler though. Oohh yea and the PCI-e chip is a separate chip on the CPU.

At a certain point you will be limited to your gpu though so it wont make a difference? Or are cpus being limited before gpus when it comes to crysis?

CPU'z are lowering the preformance of GPU's, Ok well here it gose, The GHz frequncy of a CPU is how fast a transitor switches on and off, so the higher your GHz the faster your system, because most CPU's have not been going over 3 ghz that is why most computers can't handle Crysis that well, i done a test the other day, running my system at 4 GHz on my CPU got me 40 FPS min full maxed out in crysis then i ran my CPU at 4.5 Ghz and i got 60 FPS min runing crysis so yes CPU's are underpowerd compared to GFX cards and you can see this if you run a Sandra bench mark because it gives you the prosseing power of a CPU and GPU. long story shot BTW i can go into more detail of u want.
