You should be aboe to get more then me via the router i got the D-Link DIR-615 which is pretty fail - installed dd wrt on it, even more fail. which shows it around 30mb/s lol. Thinking of getting the DIR-685 looks pretty nifty.

Dug up one of my other routers, the WNR2000 like urs karma lol. I have the black one, it gives me MUCH better speeds then the DIR-615. With the DIR-615 i got MAX of 50mb/s with the WNR2000 im getting 80-100mb/s =)
Hey karma quick question, is it normal for the WNR2000 be so laggy in the Control Pannel - and it doesnt show the name for attached deviceS?

Not sure myself I haven't installed the control panel on my pc. The spare is the WNR2000 :\, why didn't you have that setup at the start? Also is yours the WNR2000 N-300?

Upload can be a bit better, but only 1 channel of 4 are enabled for uploading at th moment, and only 4 channels out of 8 are enabled for downloading.
so theoretically if optus enable all channels (hopefully in the near future if libs get elected) we will be getting 200mb/s with 5mb/s upload. XD

i want libs be be elected too, but its labour with the NBN(which would be the only thing that is holding me back from voting libs atm)......so wat is it about libs that will enable such a thing....

libs have openly stated theyll scrap the NBN - if libs get elected either other ISP should release docsis 3.0 or optus would 'be' the NBN. Optus have been talking closely with the NBN to open some sort of partnership, i take it that they have released this internet to show em they can do it imo.
idc as long as i get good speeds they can do w/e they want XD
Edit: i want sex party to be elected

telstra will probably take over, as they have been providing 100mb/s for much longer, and while they may be expensive, you will without a doubt get much better quality.
seems optus is getting a little pissed off at telstra because of it and is now trying to get in the good side with australia.
Quote :
Optus, until now, has been happy to negotiate with the government about its involvement in the NBN and had even gone so far as to consider selling its east-coast hybrid fibre-coaxial (HFC) cable network into the project. But its submission demonstrates a hardening of attitude and a rare show of unity between Optus and its arch-rival Telstra, which last month wrote to shareholders with similar concerns about the NBN becoming a government-funded retailer.
Quote :
"As it stands, Telstra could potentially negotiate special prices in return for an agreement to migrate its 8 million customers to the NBN -- it is unlikely that any other carrier would qualify to receive those same terms," Optus says.

Its only customers. lol jks, hopefully telstra start to compete with optus on prices, and imo eventho libs said that theyll scrap the NBN i still think Optus and Telstra will fund it and use it for themselves if it comes to that.
Lol half those didnt want the free fibre tulz XD

yeh but in australia, theres a high chance of it being scrapped and if not, telstra will find a way to take the majority of the customers and cut all the other isp's a deal, simply because it's what they're good at.
and even if optus and telstra decide to fund it for themselves, once again telstra will outsmart and outwit optus simply coz they are the more prominent isp. oh and also coz they have more money
telstra are fags and their expensive little faggots, but if they do go competing with optus on prices they'll smash them without a doubt, simply coz of reliability and quality service
and theyre availiable in so many more areas.
for example :my suburb and the 2 neighboring suburbs near me cannot get higher then adsl unless theyre with telstra, and they cant get cable or cable extreme at all unless it's with telstra. so everyone in the three suburbs with adsl2+, cable or higher is with telstra hence why telstra is so successful.

Yea, im in a similar situation, before optus i wanted to go with telstra to see how it was, but they wouldnt provide for my area, but theyd provide for areas around me, optus was the only ISP that supplied HFC Cable to my house. =]

Nice base, you can call optus and tell them u wanna switch to the premium speedpack if you like. 15 bux more a month + the 99 dolla modem. I used to get those same speeds before.
Edit: Karma, just realised mine wasnt the one you have (i think) mine doesnt have the USB blue port at the back? and mine is only 10/100 yours should be 10/100/1000

Well there you go, I bought it recently for $120, just found it odd you weren't using it as your first option. I am leaning on these new plans but pissed with optus atm because they over charged my mobile without giving me the number records, seems suss.

My GTX480 / G35 / Vespula just arrived this morning (or yesterday since its passed midnight)
G35 is pure awesome, it has incredible audio quality, and it snugs fit around the ears so you dont have any external disruptions (could be a negative too) Macro keys overrated, tho it comes good if u wanna open WMP or Vent and a few other apps. Its look shows how sturdy it is, looks very durable, and it comes with a head softner (idk). I just cant belive how much noise it keeps out o_O

Yea, i tried looking for the one you had at officeworks, no luck they have the old one like i have, i still get 70-90 mb/s with it, but its not gigabit ports, so i bought a switch and it fucked up my LAN kept on throwing people off it lols. Might check ebay. =)
Also, youd get better speeds then me karma, broady right?

lololol, you know the Node is there right? even on normal cable, you should be getting 18-20 mb/s
And apparently there was a truck collision with the node not long ago XD

Yea seems bout right, gotta get on the P.S.P - i should point out, that its really for multiple people on one router, i mean yea i get high downloads, but when playing in game its really the ping that matters, and latency and jitter, download and upload speed are only half the things you need.
Nevertheless, downloading at 10MB/s is awesom. (:
