| i think it will be better than a mouse basically because a mouse is only limited to moving an object on a desk....compared to detecting multiple factors....will be way better than a mouse |

| A mouse is an extension of your hand though, it gives you plenty of control and a lot of accuracy. I just don't see how learning crazy hand movements in the air will be the next thing. Touch screens already don't feel as intuitive as a keyboard and mouse to me, and get tiring. You can actually control a mouse faster than your hand moves in front of you too. How would you type with that kind of thing, how many different movements would you need to learn to be able to do all that a keyboard and mouse can? All I can imagine is it not doing exactly what you wanted and you end up waving your hands around in frustration lol |

| well if they can interpret ur movement i'd think they'd be able to create a technology that will also interpret ur voice....plus u really have to this what is more fun....and boring mouse and keyboard or a better version of kinect....i would use it for games and movies personally...imagine not having to have a remote?....imagine not having to have a desk in between u and ur screen....imagine not have to replace old mice and keyboards for there new upgrades....watch minority report and.....iron man 1+2...then tell me you wouldn't get this technology.....it shows more skill to be able to control ur body then it is to press buttons and move ur hand in circles |

| I've seen those awesome movies, they make it look easy because it's not real and they dont really have to learn to interact with something like that. Voice would definitely help but is seperate technology and has its problems too. It would get tiring and frustrating waving your hands around, for that kind of fun you go outside. I like having a desk, and not having to stand up to use my computer. Mouse and Keyboard still win imo.

| sony ps portable anything is pointless lol, stupid apple products are ruining the market (People are eating up apple crap purely because not many people have a clue what else is out on the market now). Fucking I.T fashion emo trend useless featured simplistic stylized junk ass overpriced paperweight good for nothing crap.
Apple Ipods were never any good in the first place in terms of features compared to other mp3 players of the time, once the Ipod took off (which Iriver coined the I first) with its marketing strategy it wheened on the superficial losers of the world and slowly became mainstream and relaunched Apple out of its dismal hole it had created for itself with inferior computer systems. |

| Illicit calm down mate. Nowhere in the thread title or any other post has it been mentioned that this is a PC Tech only Thread so how are people meant to know that you only intended for this thread to be about PC Tech only? People have only posted info on new PC tech because that's what the majority of the people who browse these forums are interested in, if you want this thread to be PC only then go change the name of the thread to "NEW PC TECH" to avoid confusion and stop being so immature about it. |

| Illicit you should have it within your power to resolve and clarify this issue of your own accord.
Quite simply go and edit the first post on the first page and re-title the thread to suit your intentions for this topic you have created. If for some reason you are unable to manage to re-title the thread let me know the exact title details and I will do it for you.
Now lets get this train wreck back on the tracks and rolling again. |

I've been looking into getting a new card. Now that this has popped up I'm thinking of getting it. AMD with it's bang for buck strategies win's my heart and pockets lol But the quality of Nvidia cards is something to argue. When did they say the new GTX580's are coming out? |

| lol no that isn't a real one, and if you judge the size by how big the PCI-E slot is compared to the rest of the card....it would be massive.
The GTX 580 and Nvidia's new lineup will be released within Q1 2011, they will be a 'paper release' of them in November-December meaning they will be shown and fully detailed but not actually released.
The new AMD series will be release to the public within a month or so, just in time for Christmas, and that will be most of the high end 6900 cards for the 6000 series. |

| PCI Express makes the 3.0 leap, doubles bandwidth over PCIe 2.0 spec http://www.engadget.com/2010/11/19/pci-express-makes-the-3-0-leap-doubles-bandwidth-over-pcie-2-0/I have no idea what this all means, too much techno-babble, but is this all a good thing for pc computers ? There is also some press release added for your enjoyment. It says: "There's a new 128b/130b encoding scheme and a data rate of 8 gigatransfers per second (GT/s), doubling the interconnect bandwidth over the PCIe 2.0 specification. And since we're sure you're fretting it, we'll go ahead and affirm that it maintains backward compatibility with previous PCIe architectures. We're also told that based on this data rate expansion, "it is possible for products designed to the PCIe 3.0 architecture to achieve bandwidth near 1 gigabyte per second (GB/s) in one direction on a single-lane (x1) configuration and scale to an aggregate approaching 32 GB/s on a sixteen-lane (x16) configuration." A lot of technobabble, sure, but one thing's for sure: your next graphics card is bound to murder your current one if paired with a PCIe 3.0 motherboard. " |

| There's been a price cut in GTX480. Most expensive one I've seen in MSY is $499, which is an Asus one. It was $550 just a few weeks ago. I think there close to liquidating. |

| unless it has a "K" after it, yes it will be locked....the "K" doesn't stand for integrated gfx....all sandy bridges cpus have internal GFX....just the k means unlocked multiplier.... if you want to use the igp u need the H67 chipset, but if u dont want it go for the P67 chipset |
