I am building a new gaming pc for a relative, there have a few parts that they already have; monitor, case, keyboard and mouse, speakers. It should be a nvidia and intel machine which should be able to handle crysis 2.
There budget $1000 but they are hoping not to reach that number.

i agree with tulzer, at least 1300-1500, and why nvidia, your on a budget i would be going with amd radeon products, save abit for performance there alone

His age isn't a worry to his parents with fps, he has black ops currently on the 360 so I don't think crysis would bring anything new to the mix. I am not certain about the case but doesn't matter, if they have something not suitable I will give him my old case.

If you are registered with OCAU you can find some near new but bargain priced gear there i just bought an Asus P6T Deluxe from there for $70.00 they still retail at around $348 an NZXT atx case $70 still retail at $135 so you get the idea i bought and built a decent Crysis Machine off there for $450 dollars it run's an E8400 c2d cpu and 4870 ATi Gpu Asus MoBo 4gb ddr2 800mhz ram in an asus vento case powered by a Corsair HX450 watt psu it's not brand new tech but it runs Crysis sweet as

Thanks for that. I was dreading looking at the reviews for all these parts. Will contact the buyers and cpl, all the parts are there I will do some research into the psu so its quiet, I have a silerstone 650W and its fucking loud and many annoying cables none modular, its like having a jet in the room.
