| Also i would look at getting the GTX295 insted of the 285 almost the same price and 1/2 as fast again. Mate you mite also think of going for a i7 920 in place of the 950. U can OC the 920 to 3g no prbs and save some $$ for other stuff! |

| normly cases that come with free psu's are more expensive and the psu's are normaly shithouse. best to get a decent psu for your computer. i would suggest no lower than a 700w PSU and i recommend Enermax, OCZ, and Thermaltake PSU's |

| look at getting the ASUS p6T motherboard instead, its the best one you can get in that price range and really good value
also make sure you set up your hard drives in RAID0, you'll still get the combined 1GB and it will run twice as fast |

| In my experiance gigabyte make the worst motherboards out there. everying single one ive bought over the years has fucked up one way or another.
Good motherboard brands are Asus, XFX, Evga and DFI but DFI mainly make boards for AMD cpus now. |

| Yea not a big fan on Gigabyte just never really liked em. DFI was my favorite so you could look at DFI X58 for I7 that should do well for ya. Have a look at EVGA X58 boards, they have some nice boards that are at a good price. Good luck with the build mate post some pics up when you build is complete. |

| My gigabyte motherboards have all been good, no problem overclocking and never any issues. They dont look as good as others but who gives a fuck.
If your after a cheaper case that works really well, have a look at the coolermaster rc 690 / cm690.
Have fun with the build! |

| Not shure what all you people need core i7s for, but if it tickles your fancy i say go for it. As for the PSU dont think that a 750 - 800w psu will be enough to run 2x 295 in sli, and once you get it u will want to overclock it. If you are only going to use 2 pci-e x16 slots you might also wanna take a look at core i5 mother board and cpu, not far behind a core i7 in 3d mark vantage and a core i5 with 16 phase power desing for better overclocking. But again the choice is yours. |

| Dont i5 motherboards have a different socket than i7?
So when the next lot of good cpus come out, you will have to upgrade motherboard again? |

So when the next lot of good cpus come out, you will have to upgrade motherboard again? Yea they do but, there are two types of socket 1156 CPUS that u can get, you can get a core i5 or a core i7 they are both the same sockets though 1156 Socket 1156 Core i5 750 2.66 GHz Socket 1156 Core i7 860 2.80 GHz There are some p55 chipset mother boards out there that do support Tri channel DDR3 but if you intend on running Tri channel DDR3 you can only use a Core i7 socket 1156 CPU Ok wait there might not be mother board that supports TRI channel DDR3 with a p55 chipset , i am goingto try and have to look for it again

| Note that a p55 chipset mother board also comes with usb 3.0 that mean 5Gbps on a usb device
SATA 3.0 6Gbps
and 24 phases power desing
If i was you i would rather go with a p55 chipset mother board cheaper ,and you can overclock the F*&k outta them.
Make shure that you have good CPU cooler though.
One more thing if you use a core i5 750 cpu it dose not come with hyper threading meaning that u can only use 4 threads, personally i have only 2 threads but yet i can still run crysis fine. |
