| Ok so sometime late this century i think ill have enough cash to replace my HP generic PnP wireless crapboard and mouse shit as well as my second-hand $5 microphone currently taped to the side of my monitor. Seriously.
After a few months of perusing the interwebs i have come up with a selection that is on basically the limit of my budget:
-Saitek Cyborg gaming keyboad
-Saitek Cyborg gaming mouse
-Logitech G35
Total of $420 inc shipping for the keyboard and mouse
What u think? And no i cant really go any more expensive and i dont want a G17 |

| I think the razer lycosa is a good choice, it's got great macro capability and it looks pretty. The razer tarantula looks good too, but the backlighting is only on the macro keys for some reason, which is a bit of a downer.
Going on looks, the cyborg keyboard looks like a star wars fighter or something, and it's really cluttered. It does have tonnes of features compared to any other keyboard out there, but some of them are gimmicks. Like the metal plates wasd keys, lol how often does one wear out keys on their keyboard? I've had a generic ps2 keyboard from my first computer like 8 years ago, and it's still not worn at all (a little dirty though). And the gold plated usb port. The only way that would have any effect is if the whole cable was made of gold, as well as the connection on the mobo. Other than that, it just looks shiny. The touch sensors and different coloured backlighting are nice features though. |

| ive got a lycosa, a g15 and an arctosa, and the lycosa would be my favourite out of all of them. i find i dont bother with gkeys, and you really do notice how fast the lycosa's keys are. |

| I agree its a little gimmiky, and believe it or not i HAVE worn out some of the keys on my current crapboard. The main reason i shot for that keyboard is because it has anti-ghosting, meaning it can register any number of keys pressed at once, as opposed to mine which ranges from 1 to 3 (hence y i cant strafe and can hardly play wars at all). Also it has functioning media keys and pas-through USBs, AND its relatively cheap for its quality ($110 delieverd). AND it has macros, of which i have none at all.
The cyborg mouse i chose because its also very good quality, looks freakin aweosme, AND has 4 macro buttons AND hat keys. AND works. AND isnt wireless. AND isnt generic craptacular crap.
Also trae, i find that most razer hardware is too expensive. |

| i grabed the lycosa at the comp fair for 120. usb, audio jacks, pretty sure its got anti ghosting, and the blacklight/media panel is very nice and the same technology as the iphone... you just touch the glass..
the speed of the hyperresponse keys is the selling point for me now, every keyboard feels slow to use after the lycosa. would be better with orange backlighting imo, so its less intrusive. |

| I hate dual screening. What's the point if you still have to ALT+TAB out of the game in order to control the secondary screen anyway? |

| its tottaly worth dualscreening if your second screen is a DIY professional looking 17" multitouch screen and you have win7 (thats what ive made) working with it
the screen was just about finished when i peeled off the tape holding the lcd matrix in place. this tore the FCCs which are vital for the screen to work. thats why i have to get this second one off earz. once its fully done ill post some progress pics and a video of the screen working. |

| i love having the dualscreen with TS and msn and all taskbar with resmonitor running all nicely so i know whats going on, and it means i dont need the g15 so i can have the nice lycosa keys. alt tabbing isnt a problem, espcially in windows7. |

thats why you dont play in fullscreen - i play Crysis in windowed mode. that way if i just wanna gaze over the server i open the console and alt-tab out and do stuff on my other screen, yet can watch everything that goes on in crysis |

| Just bought a G35 headset very nice, enough to bass to rattle your brain , just 1 thing make shure that they are on the correct position on your head or else you are going to be hearing things all over the place and use the correct head band for a comfortable fit. |
