hud_showFunMessages 1
that will make the +100 you killed... messages reappear
also according to crytek you can turn hud options (like the hit indicator) on/off. ill have a look into that (maybe through console or game options) and report back with a guide how to do it
update: just had a look it looks like some options like player name indicators and kill messages can be toggled through the options menu but others cant

oh shiz i didnt even look at options i should check it out

Tell me how to turn off those damn player tags Would make working with teamies so much more fun

yeah theres a game option for this stuff
i want an option that toggles players on your teams names on and off, like you can do with 3D objects. they get in the way of looking into the distance.
