Now I know what ya gonna think WHAT A NOOB but I’m keen for some SSM action. I have no idea when it comes to this so if anyone can be bothered giving me some guidance that would be great!! I have googled it and all that and read guides but still lost. Got up to:

Next create the text file %ROOTDIR%\astrada.cfg and add the following lines to it:
x_set_root_dir M:\\crysisRoot\\server_crysis
x_set_config_dir M:\\crysisRoot\\server_crysis
what the lol

Quacks is our resident SSM authority, though Tulzer also seems to have a firm grasp of SSM also, I'm sure there are probably also another few members like Clerk who could help you out setting it up.

Cheers all, when Quacks is on TS ill hit him up about it. Tulzer yesterday created a server with ssm, all I can say is shit tins of fun!! But yeah in the mean time ill see what files can corrupt lol

Cheers wounded ill jump on TS later 2day, on holidays till my new job so ill catch him one way or the other. Plus ill give your method a shot if he's not online when I am.

Setting up the ssm isnt too hard. First you need a dedicated server running, which I assume you have, then you need to download the files from

after you have extracted the .zip file follow these instructions (edited from the readme ones)

1) Place ZZastrada.pak in your Crysis Wars>Game folder.

Step 2) Create the following folders in your Server's Root Directory (Where server.cfg is
loaded, and where server.log appears:
ssm_logs
flags
config_alpha

Step 3) Place astrada.cfg in your Server's Root Directory

Step 4) Edit astrada.cfg The standard astrada.cfg shows how a typical
gameservers.com server is setup. Change it as needed to point to the folders you
created.
Example:
x_set_root_dir C:/
x_set_flag_dir C://flags
x_set_log_dir C://SSM_logs
x_set_config_dir C://config_alpha

Step 5) Place Xastrada.lua in the config_alpha folder you created.

Step 6) Modify Xastrada.lua to configure your server.

Step 7) Make sure you disabe the speed and flying hack detectors to stop people getting banned, as these give many false positives

If you want to perform advanced scripting such as custom vehicles and additional chat commands, you can edit the xastrada.pak file by downloading 7-zip or a similar program, right clicking on the file and clicking 7-zip>open archive. By modifying the files in there you can add in your own assets. If u speak to me on TS i can help u with coding if u need it.

Quacks did have a very informative tutorial on how to set one up. I even managed quite easily (Gazz couldnt lol)

Similar to what clerk has shon but with alot more detail. He might let you use it.

actually for recollection i never even tried cause i 1. i couldnt befucked and 2. i knew i probs wouldnt be able to do it for a very very long time

Clerk thanks for the instructions mate but I hate to say it but im still lost Im gonna pm Quacks and see what he can help me with it. It maybe easy as pie, but im running into problems. Cheers agian!!!
