That's a disgraceful thought lol. If Crysis had the community and support that COD does (had people stuck to it or given it proper attention) it would demolish the baby of a game that is COD.

I think the problem was that crysis multiplayer coding wasnt strong enough, graphical tweaks and glitches (also lasers and SCAR) gave the 'in-the-know' people clear advantages compared to others, where as games like COD dont have major issues like strafe glitching and low graphics settings that allow you to see cloaked guys from 1000 miles away. So nooby mcnoobington would come on and get RAPED on crysis and not be good for 1-2 months of constant play, then rage quit.

Part of the point lol, everyone who got good had to stick to it first, because Crysis offers more end ability to players.

Because hackers are so prominent in FPS now its reeeeediculous. First day a FPS comes out u can get hacks now AND they advertise and sell the shit!

IMO the best part about BO is all the customisation (gun camo, face paint etc.) if Crysis had that and lots of aesthetic unlocks it might attract more people (Crysis 2 unfortunately doesn't seem to have a lot, no changing your visor tint, weapon camos etc.).

And if COD gave you the ability to fight longer than who sees someone first it might attract more,,, no.. it would probably make people rage quit more lol. At least Crysis has a NANOSUIT

I do understand where you guys are coming from but a s a noob to crysis and even after still being a noob after 2 years of play i have the following points..

1) If your computer was not a supercomputer crysis 1 played and looked like shit. So it was like trying to sell a porsche to the L plate drivers.. Marketing Fail.

2) If you were a noob you were fucked from teh start of each game and it gets worse as the game progresses - and when you actually fluke a couple of kills and save up for a better gun guess what! the fucking game ends and you are back to your noobiness and mass kills again..

3) Most players of Crysis that are any good join clans like ftw and we all know how fucking stupid and biased these clown become. And when you become more skillfull and kill them in a game you get booted.. Like the time i owned Wounded with a sniper rifle.. or the time i was known as The wife with a knife...

4) When i go back to the original crysis i only see about 15 servers, i am banned form 11 and 3 have high ping kick,,, unfortunatley the other one is a pokemon server and when i enter asking them to Pokemycunt.. they get upset.. BO has soooo many servers i can simply be myself as there are many many servers.

5) i agree that if poeple had supported crysis and stuck to it bla bla bla it would be better.. but that is like saying if my partner had not decided i was a fucking ugly stripper and left i would be happier..

Problem for crysis was hardware, went crysis and MW1 come out roughly around the same time. crysis hardware requiments were too demanding for any average player compare to MW1.
As you see it you needed a major upgrade of you pc to play crysis with reasonable frame rate, sure crysis has prettier graphics but to get does pretty graphics you needed to fork out a couple $100s dollars to get the most of it, MW1 didnt.

It didn't help poor support from PB to sting hackers and also lazy crytek team for not doing the most out of the game, sure free weekends where great since there was a influx of players but after that what???
Like Charlie mention from vanilla crysis to crysis wars there wasn't a radical change, bit optimize engine to run on lower specs PC and a few maps, new gamemode and two new guns and thats it.

Now crytek is going consolize (anyone who denies this is blind and not looking at the facts properly) for one i believe crysis 2 will be another disappointment, unless crytek pick up their act and do some major re-thinking of their product directions else game will die out pretty quickly (not before they laughing back to the bank for the sorry souls who brought the game.

I voted for CoD, just because the communities are better and you don't need a super computer and an expensive mouse to be good at it. + If you start playing CoD as a noob you have a good chance of killing people because the game is actually balanced. If this thread was MW2 vs crysis, it would be closer, but because BO is such a fantastic game it wins hands down.

Crysis also has bullet travel time, which new players cant seem to come to terms with, where as COD doesnt have bullet travel time. - Crysis does NOT have bullet travel time.. When you you shoot at me i die instantly every time. - Liar

using the mouse as a reason is pretty crazy imo, as my gameplay in original crysis when i had my microsoft mouse was no different to when i swapped to my first g9, for the mouse it all comes down to comfort and the settings u configure. - yes and this takes me back to my first naked comment, its all about being comfortable..

when Original Crysis was released, u did need an expensive computer to play it at the time, and there wasnt many people who could play it, so the community was very small to start with, and that community was still going strong up until the release of Wars which was a year later. - I already said this .. i even pencil modded my gpu and fucked it.

Wars has been out for 2 yrs now and its pretty much dead, but it was still going strong for an entire year and a couple of months. - Pretty much = Micheal Jackson

these 2 communities were still around when there was 4 cod games released in the same period of time. - Who cares if the crysis coding people are fucked and can't even make a game every 2 years.

people complain that the crysis games only lasted for a year... well so do the cod games, there has been 4 cod games in 4 years and each of them comes practically a year after the previous game, naturally the cod community is bigger because there is always another release of the game a year later, so the players who are still playing the game, get the new game and continue playing for another year until the next release, but with each new game release they attrack more players who will continue to play the game for the year and will get the next cod title, but each cod title only lasts for the same period of time that the crysis games do. AGAIN EA ARE FUCKED and i would tell them on their site if i wasnt banned.

crisis took a long time to get the hang of. Along the way we met some great contacts, like from vanilla FTW.
From our cod experience, who do you really know or want to know ?

But with cod ? more often than not.

By community I meant the major clan communities that have come across from MW2, not the 13yos and ppl who call hacks. Most clans have it as a rule not to call hacks at all in game, even if someone is hacking.

I liked crysis for it's nanosuits, snipers and team oriented gameplay (it's very hard to cap the proto, get energy for it and avoid being raped by vehicles all on your own) even though you didn't usually see teammates; in CoD I never snipe because the maps and gameplay just aren't suited to it but CoD does have things like customisiation and tomahawks.

It is easier to get killed by less skilled players in CoD, though.

yea dalek has 2 servers up, a mixed mode server and a 24/7 HC server

Gonna replace the mix modes with an unranked server, as they have no lag, way more customization and they can be locked for scrims

mix one should stay up, take HC down

Well HC has been consistently full since it went up, as my clan only really plays HC SND and there was a large HC SND community in MW2 that has jumped across. Whereas mix modes needs ppl to deliberately jump on and play to fill up.

You are correct, the manual is disapointing.
Also, when I try and join you cosmic in a round for some reason I get taken back to the menu screen.
Wounded I can join and Charlie I see is playing starcraft.
When I join wounded within 1 round he leaves the map

I think I can see a pattern...
