| yeah i'm still a nvidia man but honestly my GTX 275 is still about the GTX 460 scores and the GTX 470 is shit for value for money, and the GTX 480 has problems....i'm going to hold out for nvidia's next release of cards b4 i think of upgrading...that is unless AMD comes up with something that can make me bat for the other team....so to speak |

| Actually Virt...the ATi branding has ceased with the HD6xxx series cards as it says in the the info Tulz posted "As a result of AMD (formally ATI) releasing there new graphics cards"...and i've found that 5870 costs around $100 more then 6870 everywhere i've looked...like wtf..
Also wait for AMD's "Bulldozer" chips to come out should be interesting |

| If its going to be that cheap think i might just have to go for the 6850 over the GTX 480.

| Virt would you shut the fuck up with idiotic comments regards that ATI (now AMD) sucks and blah blah blah, just be glad that there a company that is willing to make Nvidia push to their limit. If there the only GFX company they will get lazy and give us shit products and we just have to take it. So before you make talk and start dribble ling shit just look at the situation. |

| Lol Nvidia is really struggling they are getting absolutely destroyed.
Consider that these 6850 and 6870 are only their mid range cards. The 6950 and 6970 (replacing the 5850 and 5870) are coming in the next month or two. Then theres antilles the 6990 dual gpu monster.
Nvidia only holds ~10% of the dx11 gpu market so yeah.... |

| The 6870 and the 6850 are already out. Meaning that you can already buy them. |

| Im still happy with the 480's and those 480 sli scores u posted tulzer are very low should be 33000 or so. I still think Nivida have the edge when it comes to multi card systems, the scaling is always some what poor with the crossfire set up. |

| Yea thats true but ATI has got the edge when it comes to price even though Nvidia is a better card hands down, thats why i think my next card might just be ATI for so some reason.

| So you'll be buying the HD5xxx Series and lower then illicit? Since the HD6xxx series ARE NOT ATi cards, are AMD cards. |

| The 6*** series so far has better scaling than any nvidia cards. There have been some games bnched with 99.7% scale and one with ~103% scaling (dont ask me how, something to do with drivers). Looking forward to 6950 and 6970 next month they will be VERY interesting. |

Not from what i have seen and it's not only the scaling that is generally behind Nvidia cards when used in SLI or crossfire as it were. The ATI cards NEVER run as smooth in a multi setup, and this you can not tell from bench scores, maybe this time they have improved the Crossfire drivers. |

| Yeah i don't think we will see 1 for 1(100%) scaling for some time yet. But you would have to say it is shit loads better than even 2 yrs ago! Just part of the fun when paying bullshit amounts of money for smaller returns, arrrr gotta love Multi card rigs lol. Also we need to take any bench scores you see on the net with a grain of salt, I know from some of the testing i have done over the years that results can jump all over the place with just a little change in settings and what have you. |

| yeah i thnk they do the tests several times to get an average...but meh i know some sites are biased as well ...so the only real way is to go get one for yourself |

| Haha a 6870 is up to $180 cheaper than a 5870 yet in crossfire it absolutely destroys 5870's. |
