Anybody else playing this? LOTS of cars. Drift is what I would call perfect. Difficulty is spot on too. That last 5 seconds, even the last 1 second makes a difference. Was missing times by .31

have been playing it and absolutely love it
the cars are awesome, shit load of em as well.
like zygurt mentioned they have hit the nail on the head with difficulty. the last 10-30 seconds of a race are pretty much do or die. some races force you to take the shortcuts just to win.
drift is one of the best features i reckon. feels weird the first go but you get used it quickly.
although what tops it, is the takedowns , taking out fellow racers or cop cars during a high speed race being followed by cops, trying to get to 1st place is quite intense haha.
don't expect too much traffic in the game however until later in the game, when you have ranked up.
recommend you guys to definitely get it for download or purchase. i have downloaded it just to test it out, although now will probably purchase it by the looks of it, for the online. if anyone else gets a copy let us know if ya go online

Well tried it with sli off and on 1 core of 1 card rather than 4 and it didnt budge off 60fps with vsync on rofl...work that out! Just a driver profile issue as usual. Game is fun and the stacks are awesome lol

Really 19fps? I've had a couple of times where it gets a bit framey, but that could have been because I was charging headlong into 20 oncoming vehicles.
Pity you can't do takedowns in races, although then it would definately be a Burnout game.
Does anyone know how to add friends based on username? I can see friend suggestions, but they all relate to the people I was racing against online that I added. They were racing from france and germany and it didn't seem to lag a whole lot. Nothing anywhere near Burnout paradise.
A bit of AA would be nice too, but anyhoo, I'm almost done the racer campaign. Well, not gold on everything, but all cars are unlocked. Hyper cars are where it's at.
Another small thing, that they haven't done properly is hidden stuff in free roam. It would be nice to be able to collect stuff in free roam rather than just drive really faster and stick on the handbrake lol.
EDIT: Just unlocked all racer events. 8 hours 45minutes. Still have some to win though. Cop career next. The final race is 70km long, and my first attempt was 13:10. Could definitely go under 13.

it has a free roam for singleplayer where you just drive, but you just drive thats it. online is races only.

I enjoyed playing it for 8hours straight with my cousins lol Get's pretty repetitive, I enjoy being the cop. Once you get to the super-cars, that's just it. Gaming Experience is all the same.
My favourite stage was a time trail with a super car on a wet track. Lost with detail, it was awesome! Full speed on a U bend, tapped the handbrake, and power sliding the whole way I go. Beat the gold Medal requirement by at least 15 seconds

And the race is the mclaren F1 preview in the snowy mountains right? It does get a little samey, but I'm not sure what else they could have done. Other than the few things that I've mentioned of course.

What's the shame in there being no story line? The first patch is out, which fixes stuff like quad core compatibility (I didn't have any issues, but my cousin, whose rig only differs by gfx card, GTX280 (me) vs GTX460 him, and mobo had huge problems and couldn't even launch the game).
I'm happy with there being no story. It's never really been a strong point in NFS and racing games in general though anyway.

i haven't updated and it worked perfect for me....i7 920(all cores) and GTX 275 oc'd.....but for me to really enjoy a game there should be a story line, just as in most wanted and Carbon....

I think it's been a very strong point, I used to get mixed up between need for speed and fast and furious because of the detailed stories the games had. If the gameplay is great then I'm still perfectly happy though, still can't wait to get it when I'm finished moving lol

no worries sgt.
tbh, i expected some more variety in the hypercars. theres only 5 in which 3 are koenigseggs, 1 mclaren and 1 bugatti. would have preferred a few more as it is the last class you unlock and you would expect a couple of more.
the ferrari 599 or scuderia would of made an awesome adition to the game. shame they didnt add any ferrari's.
gumpert apollo would of just topped it xD

Forgive the dodgy quality ones you can take snapshots but they are crap resolution compared to proper photo mode ones. Does anyone know where the original images are stored on your machine?

One of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit's major draws is the surprisingly compelling Autolog social network - but you need a strong community to support it. Will EA be able to sustain interest in the crowded release months to come? Maybe a fresh fuel-injection of DLC will keep you keen.
The first premium DLC pack for the hottest racer around will contain a dosing of sketchily-outlined new content, including twelve new events and a number of new achievements.
But who cares? We're here for the cars! Confirmed so far are cop and racer versions of the Bugatti Veyron SS, Porsche 911 GT2, and Gumpert Apollo. Worr!
Apparently that's all EA feel like sharing, as we haven't got even the vaguest of release windows or price points, but there's little doubt that our resident petrol heads will snap this up regardless. You?

Cheers Cossie. Yeah I found it eventually. Got Gold on everything last night, with only 3 Autolog times to beat. Needs a fresh coat of paint. Still am yet to hit lv20, but I don't think I'll be bothered. BC: Vietnam will be out before I get there.
