if anyone has received the instant crash to desktop without a error, this is a few things that have helped others....
1. if you still have the beta installed then uninstall it
2. update your audio drivers to the latest version, change audio quality to CD
3. Clear %TEMP% folder of windows, and ran the manual update for P.B.
http://evenbalance.com/index.php?page=dl-bc2.php 4. Just create a DESKTOP SHORTCUT through STEAM ---> RIGHT CLICK the icon and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
5. Go into you BFBC2/DOCUMENTS and GO INTO SETTINGS and Change SPEAKERS FROM 0 TO 2
HAHA most of that i did and i havent crashed yet, BUT this is a official reply from EA:
EA; Sorry to hear about your crash issue. It appears that you are using a 64 bit operating system. Battlefield Bad Company 2 does not officially support 64 bit operating systems so crashes may result
so im fucked
