pings only the time the signal takes to reach the server and back, not the acual speed. thats influenced by the server itself, the cable quality/type (fibre or copper), exchange speeds, and whole loads of crap like that. ping tells shit all as that shows

Distance is the main factor and the amount of Hops. For fibre, speed of light is the limiting factor . We need to find a new technology.

This is my just connected ADSL2 20mbit. But only syncd at 8mbit because i need to buy a new router.
