Just wondering how much they reduce damage on a scar at close, mid and long range distance. Never really used them before but I've started using them and not sure how much they are reducing damage. So does anyone know?

hardly at all, the best thing i think ive noticed is they dont impair your vision as much with less fire coming out the end of the gun

I dont see a single setback to using a silencer. I know in vanilla crysis it cut the damage by some rediculous ammount, 40% or something, but in wars it does nothing noticeably negative. I always take one, theyr worth more than the 10pp they cost.

provided quacks hasnt modified it, i read in the original wars code a few patchs back they do fuck all change. point 15 or something i cant remember. youre much better off having it because it stops letting everyone in the level knowing where you are.

Actually the damge difference in crysis is very similar to that of wars.

Oh rite, yeah i dint play vanilla online and i cant remember where i heard that. Dunno if it was on a modded server or what.

I never use the laser because it sounds so pussy. Thats the only reason why i dont use it, when i paly a FPS i want to be firing a gun, not an air compressor.

i reckon its been nerfed a bit in the latest patch playing today... but will hav to test to make sure

anyways i dont notice the difference with them, i just used them so after you kill some1 you have 30 low lifes running from all directions going for the scrap kill, it is ussually quacks, you know its him cause he breathes heavily on the mic, sorta like a fat kid doing push ups

Lol same that was the reason I didn't use them for ages, for some reason the sound just made me think it was reducing the damage alot. But now I'm sort of used to it, I think it's better cause I can hear whats going on easier while I'm firing.

Hmm....i hate it when LASERS sound like an air compressor too, especially when im using a SILENCER to paint targets
