| Researchers have developed systems that read brainwaves. Australian outfit Emotiv will release a headset whose 16 sensors make it possible to direct 12 different movements in a computer game. Emotiv says the helmet can also detect emotions. http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn17009-innovation-mindreading-headsets-will-change-your-brain.htmlBad for pauline, she is retarded and has no brain. She only knows one emotion... excitement, when she turns on the vibrator permanently stuck up her ass. You guys go on and on about headsets, Maybe this is the killer headset you need |

| "This week, engineer Adam Wilson made global headlines by updating Twitter using his brainwaves. "USING EEG TO SEND TWEET" he explained." lol, even engineers feel it is important to use caps to convery important information the following text i made really small cause people are too lazy to read: also the rest of the stupid article doesnt make any sense and full of contradictions (apart from copy paste facts about the headset) i fucking hate reporters...
cheap is also usually synonymous with bad quality, while this shit may still work it wont necessarily be equal to research stuff. also, $300 for a headset is still quite alot, it will probably cost even more than that when it comes out in 2000 years time after being patented by 50 companies and slapped with a Hello Kitty logo to really get kids attention.
"That'll certainly help make for some compelling viewing on YouTube and accelerate the development of brain controllers."
great just what we need, a way to watch stupid shit even more interactively
why could they only think of the word 'acutely' to describe the painful, demoralising awareness of children growing to be smarter than parents playing the role of 'teacher', and have to use it TWICE?
fuck these reporters are so low grade, clicking the link to the article about controlling robots (which is way cooler) showed them quoting a scientist that had the word 'can't' as 'can?t' which shows the fuckin can't type or can't copy paste correctly, or are so lazy that they CAN'T WRITE GOOD SHIT WITHOUT COPY PASTING HALF OF IT
i hate reporters..
also: http://www.newscientist.com/blog/technology/2007/01/sword-wielding-wii-bot.html id more readily buy a robot i can control with my wiimote to bash people senseless because im too weak to do it myself, and itd be hilarious.
..sorry, continue thread. =]

| saw the 'trojan' vid before. the ideas been do-able for a while. could easily make the shit more compact with funding to print and produce the right size parts you need. theres been 'mobile manual assitance' type robots around in japan, which are pretty much exosuits and can lift heavy shit. they then made a more portable one, forget what its called.. lol here it is, HAL : http://www.geekologie.com/2009/04/robot_suit_going_into_producti.phpamerica and aus were also working on similar models, japans looks the coolest though. this is also funny: http://www.geekologie.com/2009/04/scientists_create_chemical_gel.phpEDIT: lol just realised the last youtube link was to HAL as well, i shoulda clicked it first... |
