| Hey guys picked up a GTX295 yesterday and grabbing another today to see what quad sli is like and how unsupported it is. Should be a real waste of money... Cant wait!
Have a Asus GTX280oc for sale if anyone is interested in it. Under a month old and since it is factory overclocked I havent bothered trying to go any further, originally cost $790. |

We now have fuck all micro stuttering (the main issue with 4 gpu's) and have multi monitor support with 1 as target SLI screen and the other free to run diagnostics, TS, webpbrcon, or whateva with no performance loss to the gaming!! This is with Vista and 7 only of course....dont tell me you are still an XP fanboy Quacks.....rofl! Cos. p.s post some bench's with Vantage when ya get the second card m8 if you havn't got it.... 3D mark vantage Link : http://www.futuremark.com/benchmarks/3dmarkvantage/download/3D mark vantage keys : 3DMVA-LHJL6-LZZK8-LXDAH-3ZAL7-RHQ3S-VLALP-FYUQ8 3DMVA-LZ6AL-HLAB1-LWYPA-ZLVLC-BN8C9-U30AL-FYPJL 3DMVA-4Q4DB-3F418-0QVAN-H6CF6-BDMF8-DJ1DS-C6HT4 |

| haha nah thats wrong.
im smarter then some stupid pc site. 4 gpu's in 2 slots does not quad sli, dual sli & 4 gpu's. i will stick by that FOR GOOD
like i said 1xGTX 295 with 2 gpu's doesn mean u have dual SLI
very valid point there boots
"oh thanks quacks" |

| zzzzzzzzzzzz...... dual sli? with 2 gpu's. 2gpu's = 1xSLI. Say two, 8800's with single gpu's bridged together = 1 SLI, SO 2xGPU's in 1 card = 1 SLI :therefore 2 cards with 2 GPU's each = 2xSLI, this leads us to believe that when you put them in SLI it would make 2x2GPU's in SLI which would = 4GPU's TOTAL. But if each card is only 1xSLI and you put them in SLI one would believe that it would mean Dual SLI BUT! you would have 4 gpu's and as such could be called 'QUAD' SLI because there are 4 gpu's total in the 'SLI' set up. the end. |

| yea its a tough one, im sticking with dual SLI only with 4 x gpu's, quacks may be right it could b classed as quad but i make the rules.
dual it is |

| I'm fairly sure that the computer recognises it as being 2 gfx cards in SLI. Therefore, when it sees a second dual gpu card, which is also SLI, you will have a 4 GPU SLI or QUADSLI.
GTX295 = 2 GTX260 on one card. |

| It's "Quad SLI" because one card does use SLI technology, it's just the SLI bridge is attached within the casing of the card, not externally like you'd have with two separate cards. This is also the reason why you only have one external SLI finger on the dual-GPU cards, because the second finger is already used internally. You can disable SLI on a 9800GX2 and run a single core. Cheers |
