Im moving to flemington this weekend, and need to start thinking about an ISP.

I dont really need a home phone so was looking into naked ADSL, dont really know much about it but theres the link.

Dont know why extreme is cheaper than normal?

Fast
Only need about 25-35Gb quota at this stage

Well Bob im not sure about adsl but if there is any chance of getting cable in that area I would strongly advise giving that a go. Saying that I know people will disagree however I would never choose adsl over cable.
Also telstra have pretty crappy plans as I am with them so if you have to go adsl go for another isp.

I got the 25GB plan on interodes adsl2+ and it goes well for me. I also contemplated going naked but if you lie to the fuckers at telstra and tell them you wont be getting internet, you are able to use the homeline budget plan which only costs $20 a month. It worked out that using homeline budget coupled with the 25gb plan from internode cost only $5 extra per month when compared to the equivalent naked plan.

Well worth the extra $5 imo to have a phoneline.

Does TPG or Internode have naked DSL?

TPG are in the "planning" stage for naked, so that could mean in a number of years.

Ive been with Internode before, and the free content stuff is all pretty good, but there prices for naked are bit shite for the DL quota, plus they dont have the extreme naked in Flemington.

Cable would be good quacks but its pricey, over $100

After a bit of research iinet are looking the best.
15Gb Peak / 20Gb Off peak $70

Ill pay the setup fee of $150 so im not in a contract and change if its shit.

Hey all, Apparently Naked ADSL takes f.... forever to hookup. Should be online by this weekend.

So this is how it works. iinet have to ask telstra to hook the exchange up. telstra doesnt like iinet so fucks them up the asse by taking a month to do shit. iinet dont like taking it, so proceeds to give a little and fucks me up the asse by making me wait another 2 days after the month. i dont like this so i call customer support to firmly tell them to remove there cock from my asse. only to be punkd as my call goes straight to fucking india where i and they cant undertstand shit and end up getting spit roasted to the sounds of an indian musical. but hey im over it im back online now and busy catching up on the live feed of carts mum.

Eat a Cock! Ive been on naked the last 8 months and its been awesome.

iinet just increased quotas:

Was 15Gb Peak + 20Gb Off Peak - $69.95

Now 30Gb Peak + 30Gb Off Peak - $69.95


Only catch is off peak time has been reduced to only 6hrs, but the quota makes up for it, so fuck yeah!!!

internode now have an UNLIMITED plan =)

160 a month though. on 1.5 but i think someone told me you can get it on 8mb.

still, thats a shit load of downloading and never worrying about a cap.

Yeah theres a few nice looking deals out now. The guys on telstra cable are getting pretty damn good speeds.
