Well, sort of.

While Steam is no longer selling Crytek's futuristic first-person shooter, plenty of other digital distribution services—Amazon, Impluse, Direct2Drive, et al.—still carry the game, as spotted by NeoGAF user sflufan. Whether EA is targeting Steam only as a competitive reseller or the other means to get Crysis 2 haven't been informed of the change we don't yet know.

But many EA published games are still available through Steam, including this year's Bulletstorm, Dragon Age II and Shift 2 Unleashed. Alice: Madness Returns, released today on PC, is also "only on Origin"—and Amazon and Direct2Drive. We would anticipate seeing the same tactic for other EA PC releases, like this year's Battlefield 3.

We're asking EA what's up.

I bought mine from the EA Store (now Origin) anyway to get their exclusive gold dogtag outline and desert camo for the SCAR, but they didn't give me an unlock code and when I pestered them the code they gave me didn't work. repeat x1

Fortunately, the game doesn't have much going for it anyway so it's back to BC2.

I am guessing you mean the platnium dogtag and urban camo for the SCAR cause you gave me false hope just then. Thought I didn't get what I earned by buying this... LIMITUS EDITIONUS! Lucky Ava and I bought it from else where and made a nice saving, expectation and losses weren't as high.

Limited Editions (I think all pre-orders got upgraded into LEs) get plat. dogtag outlines and the digital pattern urban camo for the SCAR but EA pre-orders (which were also LEs) got that as well as a gold outline for dogtags and desert camo for the SCAR - I didn't get a (functional) code for either.

I never activated my LE 'bonuses' becuas the code didn't work straight away, and within 10 minutes I was where the Bonus XP puts you. Kind of reminds me of the APC in Crysis.

OH LORD! Look at that typo, (chuckles). Bleh, saving is > than asthetics in this case in my opinion (I don't speak for all). I have yet to see a golden dog tag and/or a "dessert" weapon skin but I gotta say that Gold Dog Tag looks neat.
