So a stream went live with rumours that 2K and Gearbox would be unveiling Duke Nukem Forever they have been secretly working on since 2009. The stream had some problems, no one believed it really, but all bets on Duke were on when they announced it was real and would be released on all platforms in 2011.
However the preview trailer that was screened at PAX 2010 wasn't allowed to be videoed or broadcast, even by this official stream, so this bitch took the camera into a room where people could play test the game. I'll post what I caught glimpses of here:
So it starts off with Duke looking into a urinal, and he procedes into some sort of briefing room. There are guys bitching at each other by a whiteboard which has on it a crude drawing of a robot underneath the words 'Operation: Cock Block'. They procede out into a corridor with some guys shooting at duke, they enemies get killed and you are able to pick up and dual wield some kind of smg type weapon. You go up an elevator, and are greeted by a fat cyclops-megatron robot, where you gotta give him hell until he falls down. At some point you go from being in a military complex where its raining, to out in the sunny desert, killing aliens and driving a monster truck around the place.
The hud is very simple, health is indicated cod-style with red blood splatter all over the screen as well as a ar in the top left called 'Ego'. Duke appears to be able to access a variety of weapons including some type of smg, a shotgun, mounted miniguns, some kind of flak cannon, a gauss-sniper, and boxing with his fists. Give aways at the event were a Nuclear Symbol belt buckle, a big jar of pills (no idea what..), and a red tshirt that says 'hail to the king baby' on the back.
Apparently you will be able to sign up at the official website get the chance to playtest it, dukenukemforever.com, but going there now shows it isn't actually rented by anyone...
My verdict: I'm gonna go sleep, it basically looks like this video here but graphics have been improved a bit. Whether or not I'd buy this game, uhhhh dunno, but giving it a play would be fun. Nothing truly useful was unveiled at this presentation other than "holy shit, Duke's back!"

I like the idea of mini bosses throughout the game, brings some variety into it. You get sick of shooting arabs, russians and nazi's all the time.

Tbh, the rating screen/content advisory list would make a hype building trailer all by itself.

Haha, that's quite a list. And the "Was the game any good" comment was cool as well.
