But the 5970 is still leading in the standard clock area, lets not get too excited till we see a few more side by side comparisons. Also, whats the deal with the 6xxx series from ATI?

Yeah the 5970 is a dual gpu and nvidia hasn't released their dual gpu

yea dude its insane and the best part of that card is the fact you can run it at 1ghz on the stock cooler.

1ghz gets you 30k gpu score in vantage which is pretty damn good imho. Be good to see what ATI has up ther sleeves with the 6970 and 6990.

for us 480 owners its best we wait for the new Kepler from Nvidia. based on 28nm Smile

Plus intel has ther new Sandy bridge arch socket 2011 comen 2Q 2011 Very Happy

That will be the time to upgrade.

Us 480 owners have nothing to worry about, as i said before with a vantage score of better than 47000 im sure i have any thing covered at the moment lol. Still this (580) shows what the 480 should have bean! Tippical of Nvidia only give us just enough to stay infront of Ati, the faggots!

the 580 is about 5K ahead of the 480 should be that much of a difference pissed that nvidia decide to release the card this soon...

28nm GPU and Sandy bridge is what im waiting for > Very Happy
