just updated yesterday to the nvidia beta drivers - 260.63.

have been getting some crashes in various games with the game just freezing and getting some sort of weird sound through the speakers. can't do anything and have to manually turn the computer off from the back.

just wondering if anyone that has updated to these drivers has had the same issue?

y wouldn't you just wait for the whql release?

was having a few issues with the 258 drivers. and i'm getting much better frames etc from the beta drivers as they're not laggy like the 258 ones.. just curious as to whether its the drivers or the hd audio drivers that come with the graphics drivers.

try rolling back the audio drivers, it wont roll back ur gfx drivers,
ive had some issues with audio drivers issues with other applications in win 7 rolled them back and worked fine.

Im on the new 260.63 beta drivers and have had no problems so far. if you want hit me up on steam and we can chat on TS.

Sounds like something is up, could be just the driver.

+1 no issues with 260.63 for me either. do a reinstall from clean and see if still there?

yeh just did a clean reinstall. still happening but only with crysis now. might as well just downgrade to 258 for now i guess
