Dorothy

So over the past 2 weekends I shot a short horror film. My main job is sound, but I took my camera along and was the set photographer and did a bit of continuity.

So I thought I'd stick a link up here to some of the photos. Because they contain key plot elements I'm only able to release them after the director has put them online,, but he is at least doing that fairly regularly.

It's probably the name of one of the clowns.

Looks like its got some influences from alice in wonderland and Wizard Of Oz and then they threw in some horror themes.

It's called Dorothy because it's the name of the doll. I'm really hoping that once it's done they will put it up online so that I can link people to it. The last ones are all still sitting around waiting to be put into film festivals. The First film that I did with these guys is being entered into some german film festivals at teh moment.

The film kind of flips the scary clown thing on its head. The little girl is keeping the clowns hostage, until they can make her laugh.

Just updated the photos so there are a heap more up now. I took something like 1200 photos across the 6 days, which was about over 10 GB. I got it back to 120ish images, but the director is going through all the photos and choosing them, so here is the link again so you don't have to scroll up again.

Dorothy Gale is the protagonist of many of the Oz novels by American author L. Frank Baum, and the best friend of Oz's ruler Princess Ozma. Dorothy first appears in Baum's classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and reappears in most of its sequels. She also is the main character in various adaptations, notably the classic 1939 movie adaptation of the book, The Wizard of Oz.Dorothy's adventures continue. In later books, Oz steadily becomes more familiar to her than her homeland of Kansas. Indeed, Dorothy eventually goes to live in an apartment in the Emerald City Palace, but only once her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry have settled in a farmhouse on the outskirts of the Emerald City, unable to pay the mortgage on their house in Kansas.
