I know we have some guys in the clan who love racing sims and this is the bees knees!! Coming out Sept 24 this year...... F1 2010. Codemasters have the rights to the game now from Sony, and using the upgraded Ego engine it should be amazing

It'd be cool if in those games, it simulated the forces involved in accelerating and breaking by making the camera suddenly zoom in and out as you break/deccelerate.

I've seen the price on Steam. Bit costly and being that price i might as well buy the Hard copy from the shops.
Looks exciting, graphics look engaging, the multiplayer aspect of it looks like it will be good fun and Xbox 360 controller compatible. Which will be sweet with my LED 55inch TV. So I can sit on the couch, nice and relaxed, while racing.
Can't wait

It got price jacked on steam, went up $20
Meaning to say, the current price now is $53.95 USD according to steam -10% off and it was much cheaper than that before?
Puzzled. If so I totally missed up on a bargain.

yup...got it for $40 AU. Have been playn rFactorr F1 2010 mod to get in the mood lol.
Am looking at wheels atm as my X360 controller just isnt cutting it anymore. Found the logitech G27 for $380 or the logitech driving force GT for $100. The pedals on the DFGT are shit compared to the G27 so thats my issue atm....
Cossie mate, you should go for the G25. There is not much difference at all between the G25 and the G27 from what I recall. The G25 does an insane job and is cheaper, as you already know I have one

My friend recently bought a G27 and the other weekend or so, we had a game of grid with a few mates over lan, two of them had steering wheels. G27 and the G25 ! TALK ABOUT PRODUCT COMPARISON!
In short the G27 is definately worth it, so much easier to handle for driving and it has fucking single-pressed brushed-aluminium flappy paddles for changing gears! I'm too shit to drive manual using a wheel in Grid but if I could oh wow.. I press them for fun anyways when I drive because they feel awesome.
So if you are happy to spend the extra cash, which you should be if you plan on using it alot (friend got it for when he gets GT5), then you will never be disappointed. Do it Cos.

yeah the G25 is not in production now and is hard to find, also they are still $300 and i can geta G27 for $380 so will prob go for that...it has new fancy Helical gearing also.

pretty sure they both do doggy lmao.
but if its ur first steering wheel, just go for the g27 i guess so long as the prices aren't too different.
quoted from GTP forums:
Quote :
The g27 has the wheel has four additional buttons mounted on the spoke, and there's a gear shift indicator.
Quote :
the g25 has the sequential transmission, the g27 doesn't the g25 wheel is still a bit noisy, the g27 is silent and smooth the g25 wheel only has 2 buttons, the g27 6 buttons and I like that
Quote :
Improved shifter out of the box and helical gears
hope it helps

lol it was a epic game, you could blow ur tyres which would make it very hard to control and blow up other racers if u turned on a indestructible mode...oh and there was replay cam on it as well which was ground breaking for those days....could replay whole races and crashes and shit....so dont bag out what u haven't experienced

$265 for it, i wonder how it would go on the cement floor where i have my computer, wonder whether it would slide backwards while using the pedals
Yeah am gonna get one of these, the YouTube reviews looked good, seems pretty sturdy should be ok on the garage floor m8, they are pretty heavy and you are pulling on the wheel while pushing the pedals so.....
