| I think it would be good to help those with laggy comps to speed up their systems abit,
what i usualy do is msconfg > Start up and boot uncheck micro services, disable all uneeded start ups.
i used to disable superfetch and indexing (services.msc >> Windows Search - only if u dont use it [search bars]) but not on this system at the moment.
WBU?

| I leave my computer as it is and deal with it. As long as I can play my games, at the end of the day the speed (in which my computer loads) doesn't phase me. Oh, I also havent turned my computer off for 2 months apart from needed restarts or power failures. |

| There is a way through windows. I forgot the process but it's just a matter of editing files. I did it a while back but i forgot the process.
Also, Asus ROG "Republic of Gamers" Motherboards have a feature to increase the HD speed. Having a separate socket in the motherboard itself for this Speeding HD feature. |

| Charlie is Menudelay what your talking about? its probably the most popular way to fasten the windows menu options, regedit, search menushowdelay and assign the number 1 to all the ones you find ;D
Ive heard of the ROG mobos, awesom function unfortunately im stuck with this mobo which only supports 3Gb/s =(
all in all, im pretty satisfied with my hd speed, fresh install ftw.
windows score is 5.9 : / cause of my HD everything else is above 7.5 |

There is a way to tweak your HDD performance through windows by editing a file in conjunction to the HDD function. -Rhymes lol I did it a while back. A bit technical but i had it working. Might be worth looking into. But seriously can't remember how I did it. lol I grabbed it off a PC magazine that I no longer have. Look into it mate if your really keen. |

| lol syler it will be released in about 5 years, and it wont be as / or / will be / not more / of / an / equivalent SSD because the hardware it uses is SSD type hardware, pretty sure it also uses light to send information, as opposed to electricity.

| Yea 5.9 for hdd is about the the fastest hdd score you will get unless you use it in raid 0, if i am correct you will have a 32mb cache.
the best way to speed up your hdd is delete all the shit that you dont use or put it onto another HDD, msconfig and stop all the start up programs that you dont use, you can try and make you HDD disk spin faster but, for what its worth just buy a SSD or disk defrags alot, raid 0 is about the best option if you ask me just need to make sure that you are running the same hdd make and size. |

| I run 2 x 150g raptors in raid 0 for my OS and game installs, all my other apps are installed on another 150g raptor and any other files on 1TB drive also have XP on a 320g drive. It seams to work ok. |
