| it would be quite possible to use cryengine to power the next elder scrolls game for sure. Wouldnt it be cheaper and quicker for bethesda to do it too? |

| you know.. looking back at Oblivion, the graphics are still really appealing even just with bloom effects. something about the colours, textures and glows just gives it something that cryengine hasn't found yet. Having said that, obviously id still rather play it on cryengine . But oblivion was the pinnacle of graphics power, until crysis arrived. I don't in any way count fallout 3 because i never for an instant found its graphics impressive. if bethesda got a bunch of these guys together to build the cities (and given how much this guy has made for fun, it can't be that hard), and concentrated on giving the game.... lets say... around 1000 quests.... well... fuck my arse. |

I sent Bethesda a letter almost 1 and a half years ago suggesting they should use CryEngine2. Also, the main difference between Oblivion's engine and CryEngine 2 is CryEngine 2 keeps a much more consistant framerate then Oblivion. Still, I never got a reply from Bethesda about it. Who knows. |

| that simply backs up my point, every single comment on that article is WHERE IS ELDER SCROLLS. noone gives a shit bout any of that other crap, fallout new vegas will be worse then fallout 3.
they have the potential to make such an incredible game, whether you have to set 'quicksave' to the shift key or not. and they're wasting in on absolute crap.
i mean, rage sounds pretty cool but isnt there enough post-apocalyptic going around at the moment? I want to go back to Tamriel. I want to explore Skyrimm. |

| I would like to see Black Marsh and Elsywer as the 2 featured regions. Would be fairly diverse landscape and some interesting factions could pop up.
Yeah I have to agree that no one cares about any of their other games, I played about 3 hours of fallout 3 and couldn't stand it. IMO it was a terrible game. |

| id love to see elsywer but couldnt care less about blackmarsh, i hated leyawiin. Pretty sure i read somewhere a while ago that it'd almost definately be Skyriim, but it doesn't matter which nation its in, as long as its as big as oblivion it'l be awesome. |

| If they were gonna do Skyrim I am fairly sure they would add in High Rock as well, 2 countries would be good and high rock isn't that big (according to the map).
There have been some decent Oblivion mods that have recreated some areas of Elyswer that are worth looking at if you have heaps of downloads.
I have never fully finished Oblivion in 1 play through, but I have done all the quests through about 4. + My game is fully modded so heaps of extra content. And SI was pretty good. |

| some group called tamriel recreated has remade most of morrowind but that kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me, and they havent achieved much of an advance graphic wise over TES:III.
probly clocked round 200 hours on that game across all characters. |

| This guys work could easily be imported into any engine and it would still look pretty much awesome.
I'm sure he could even drag the assets into an oblivion mod then you really could just play oblivion in that scene, it wouldn't look that much worse.
But he is stingy and he just made it for a job application portfolio or something, hopefully it will end up being used in a game, assuming his job app was for a gaming company...
If you ask me....this looks like The Witcher 2 more than elder scrolls ;] |
