The new features are as follows:

This is a WHQL driver for GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, 200, and 300-series desktop GPUs and ION desktop GPUs.

This driver resolves fan speed issues reported with version 196.75 drivers. NVIDIA asks that you remove 196.75 drivers and update to this 197.13 WHQL driver.

New in Version 197.13

Adds support for Next Generation ION.
Adds support for GeForce GT 320, GeForce GT 330, and GeForce GT 340.
Upgrades PhysX System Software to version 9.10.0129.
Upgrades HD Audio driver to version 1.0.9.1 (for supported GPUs).
Increases performance in several PC games from v196.21 WHQL. The following are examples of measured improvements. Results will vary depending on your GPU and system configuration:
Up to 13% performance increase in Crysis: Warhead with a single GPU
Up to 30% performance increase in Crysis: Warhead with SLI technology
Up to 13% performance increase in H.A.W.X with single GPU
Up to 15% performance increase in H.A.W.X with SLI technology
Up to 30% performance increase in Left 4 Dead with single GPU
Up to 28% performance increase in Left 4 Dead with SLI technology

downloading now, any known bugs with this driver? had issues with the ones before, random screen cuttings, annoyed me for abit till i rolled my drivers back to fac defaults.

my graphics card shat itself yesterday, it seemed to be completely fine and i wasnt doing anything out of the ordinary. just browsing the net, had crysis open and then both my screens went black and a fucking loud noise came out of my speakers

i reset and it wouldnt display anything, so i swapped output over to my mobo and that works fine.

sometimes in the past my comp would reset for no reason i wondered if it was gfx related, as i have had problems with mine in the past with the fan fucking up, it got loose somehow and kept hitting the little plastic cap that covers it.
i wonder if theres anything i can do to fix it, might not be completely fucked..

okay yeh just after writing that post my computer turned itself off and wouldnt turn on at all no matter how long i left it.
so i removed the graphics card and now it works


so anyways, i hear if you stick the gt in an oven for 10 mins at about 150degrees it fixes them? what you guys think, sounds legit? =P

Dog sounds kinna sketchy but give it a try, you gfx is fucked anyway so what you got to lose.
Unless is under warranty give it a try, the worse that could happen you have a gfx roast for tonight.

haha yeah, itll be delicious.

nar its out of warranty i think. i had a problem with the same model card when i got my computer, and they replaced i think the powersupply instead because that was meant to be causing problems and i think the fan for the card, or the whole card itself im not sure.
but that was over a year ago now i believe.


a friend has offered his GTX 260 SP216 for $200, or i can get a spanking new ATI 5770 for $170 from MSY. that way ill get a year warranty with it.
not much diff between the two, leaning for the ATI as its cheaper and uses less power, and seems to performing marginally less.

ive been having problems with these drivers with media where it freezes the gpu output for bout 5 mins

still using them though, need them for Metro2033 WHICH IS FUCKING AWESOME

yeah lol its fucked you cant play it during the day coz you need to be able to see what your shooting at in the dark but at night its too fuckin scarey

my gtx260 had another episode, wont let me change servers / exit / minimize / do anything whilst playing crysis, would just say not responding, even randomly in game.

Go ati bro's lol, I got the 5870 it runs suppurb! 60fps all maxd out nd no frame dropping, it stays at 60fps constant. (this is in crysis)

sif im guna spend a extra 300 bux to get 20 fps...il just get GTX460 XD hopefully runs well.

460? Meh thatll be worse than a 5850.

These drivers pretty much fucked my os. They made me BSOD while playing crysis, then after that almost all my programs would freeze and crash, couldnt open crysis, firefox would crash with more than one tap, vent crash, everything. I had to do a system restore to beforer the bsod and then revert drivers.
