| the 108 bucks in.02c bids equates to around the $4000, so theres BS money involved. but like said theres slot of waiting involved, i just plan to get up at 3am and there will be a few less people on...... see how i go |

The bids you spend on each auction contribute to the product costs, at the moment there is no refund or credit for bids spent on these auctions. does this mean if you bid on an auction, and lose, you still lose the money spent on bids? ie; you place 10 bids at 80cents each, that'll cost $8 all up and you lose the auction, so you are out of pocket the $8? |

gotta really want something then haha. was looking at the cameras they had going, but guess it depends.. they can time out pretty quick like i was interested in how this one would do: Nikon D90 Digital SLR VR Twin Lens Kit went for $59.23, i thought itd be there forever slowing going up in price but someone must have dropped out bidding haha. http://www.bidrivals.com/au/Photo/Nikon+D90+Digital+SLR+VR+Twin+Lens+Kitthats a crazy deal. i wanna buy everything now haha, 50" TVs, cameras, Coffee Machines.. a blackberry 8520 sold for 48cents, thats fucking retarded makes me think its so suss.. |

| yea how i do it, its quiet simple but effective, i have a room mate, i get him to log on to bid rivals under a different name, then we BOTH use bid agent (the auto bid application).... see, how i see it, is once there to many people bidding on something then most people would lose interest, for instant most of the time you will see a battle with 2 people going at it and everyone else just thinks FUCK THAT. thats how i won the TV...... my room mate spent 10 bucks worth b4 the other bloke lost interest, therfor leaving only me and my room mate, i jusst walked in a told him to stop and thats how i won it.... thats one tactic ive come up with that has proven most effective i want the nikon D90 as well!!!! boots |

| yeah ive seen the D90 around a few times
im wondering if theres a way you can put shit all money into buying bids by winning tons of the bid packs, do they enforce the 6 wins per month? sounds like they strongly suggest they do.
i want a PS3 slim for dirt cheap haha |

| Well it shouldn't be a problem your not doing anything wrong just using a different style in winning, still using their services, they are still getting enough return anyway. |

| yeah true, shouldn't bother them.
if you'd want to make somewhat easy money you should just bid on copies of Heavy Rain haha, they keep going for like 69cents, end up costing the winning bidder less than $20 sometimes for a brand new game that retails for like $100, then just sell it back to EB games or something or trade in for a game you want.
also you seem to have a better chance of winning, if theres two auctions for the same item and one has started already, and another is about to begin its final countdown, you go for the second one. good to wait a bit thought because if more start bidding then youre fucked if you try and stay in for too long |

| lol why don't we all create accounts and bid for items that the others want and then do the same again for another item for another person, we can create a channel for it, I wouldn't mind a new dslr after mine got stolen |

| rofl ive been gathering results of the sales of PS3s to see if theres a trend for a time to bid or something, and trying to find graphs and shit for it hahaha but its not working out well..
just that if theres 2 auctions for one thing, go for the second with less attention. and if heaps of people go for that you gotta wait for it to get high then stick in hard. or have lots of friends also vote a bit to jack up the price so people get put off trying to compete and wasting bids. |

| Well I say we all bid on the same item to win. It will put off any random bidder and their will be less bids wasted once the randoms don't bid anymore. |

| man the way some people play this is stupidly off putting i was looking at winning bid packages , and some dumbcunt won a pack of 20bids by bidding 34 times bidding 34 times cost him $27, where as just buying those 20 bids normally costs $16
so if you were on there hoping to get some easy bids for cheap, some dumb fuck woulda rooted you out of it at loss to himself, haha |

| so youre saying that because of currency exchange rates, he may possibly be getting a good deal? that only works for a currency that is stronger than ours. so whoever that bidder is, is only getting a good deal, if the ~$30AUD he ended up paying for 20bids (which is usually $16) is a better deal than what he'd normally have to pay to bid.
given that he paid almost twice as much as what an aussie would normally pay for 20 bids, his currency has gotta be pretty damn strong to make it worthwhile. at least twice as strong as ours, and to buy 20bids normally with his own currency they gotta be more expensive than ours. i dont think there is any currency thats twice as strong as ours.
the pound is like, 1.65 to 1, euro is 1.5 to 1. USD is 1.09 to 1... AUD is .6 GBP, .91 USD, 1.3NZD
so im presuming they wanna keep the price of bids relatively the same across all currencies, using those above exchange rates as an example:
actual prices = $16AUD, 8GBP, 14USD, 20NZD for 20bids 1 bid US = 0.70USD 1 bid UK = 0.40GBP 1 bid NZ = 1.00NZD 1 bid AUS = 0.80AUD
20 AUS bids would cost each: US = 16x0.91 = 14.56 USD UK = 16x0.6 = 9.6 GBP NZ = 16x1.3 = 20.8 NZD
the price paid was about $30AUD
they'd cost: US = 30x0.91 = 27.3 USD for 20 bids UK = 30x0.6 = 18 GBP NZ = 30x1.3 = 39 NZD
they are still loosing out on what they'd normally get. |

| for other items this may be the case. ie; the Nikon D90 may be $2500 where they are and its $1779 in Aus, im talking about the Bid Packages though where we've got the known values of it.
i know the point your making wounded, i just made a note that some people still mess it up, as i showed in my post if you read. |
