| Hi, i am thinking of getting a new PC. I build this on a Perth shops website which has prices similar to a local shop where i would probably get the parts (this is discounted btw, staff discount is huge). This is experimental to see what i can come up with. Anyway, what do you think? Please tell me if theres anything missing/stuff to change, i did this very quickly. NOTES: Graph card is a priceholder im waiting till nvidia cards come out to see whats better/ prices and hopefully a price war drives prices down. Also as i said above im waiting for nvidia cards so i wont have it for a few months. Also i dont know if that CPU fan will go with I7 |

| Would upgrade that psu from 750 to something else. I know the GTX 295 minimum wattage is 750W so any new cards i'd expect the same or even higher, therefore you'd be spending extra down the track to upgrade the psu. |

| i would go with nvidia. I personally have used the ati for 2 years now. Most games made look smoother with Nvidia cards. |

| Although the 295 is dual gpu remember. i am not looking to spend that much really. My budget would be about 2.5g
One thing i saw i forgot to add was a hdd. I was thinking of a 128gig SSD. |

| power supply.... antec quattro tru-power 1000w power supply http://www.umart.com.au/newindex2.phtml?bid=2worth the little extra, both sli enabled as i run 2x gtx295 and no problems at all, if you intend to upgrade you wont have any problems with this power supply in the future....... just a recommendation cpu fan.... unless you are planning to o/c not needed. 920 i would leave it. will the gpu keep up??? ram, your getting 8gig of ram?? is it needed. if its just for gaming you could save your self a bucket load. boots out |

| Boots: Well i am not quite sure about the ram. I am still undecided if im going to 64bit or not so i put 8 gig in anyway.
I do a lot video converting, and running OSes with VM.
My PC is on quite a lot (recently 48 hrs straight copying and coming) and the heat builds up a lot with standard fans. Plus, will the 920 @ 2.66ghz will keep up/not bottle the 5850-5870/ mid range gt100 cards? (Depending on prices im looking to get nvidia). |

| Personally, wouldnt go for the Antec 902, extreamly tight on space, and price is damnright crap. insted check out the Thermaltake Armour + MX. cheaper, bigger, and has a awsom side pannel. As for the PSU. i7 are hogs in every way, not saying that psu affects it, but does if ur GPU is 5870. Go with the Antec Signature 850 watts yes might be alittle more expensive, but the PSU is one hardware not to go wrong at, if it goes wrong, your entire rig will collapse. Also, go 64 bit, youve got the advantages of 32 bit, just with more privleges. id personally go for Corsair Ram, as they are one of the top rankings, and gaming rams come with inbuilt heatsinks, look for the C8Ds and C9Ds, if your not tight on budget you can go for these http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=115_23&products_id=39984 1. they look cool. 2. they have heatsinks. 3. awsom speeds (1866MHz) and triple kit of 7-8-7-20 and if u wanna cool it more, corsair have air cooler for it that you attatch on top for just 50 bux. everything else looks great, awsom i7, but remember they do get hot if not cooled properly when OC'd also try and see if you can get the D0 stepping insted of the standard C0 stepping. if you dont know the difference dont worry about it. GPU i hate ATi so id recommend Nvidia. wait for the GF100s =) if not i guess ATi will do. (woah i type alot.) V.X |

| (P.S if u want a cpu cooler get the TRUE Black Thermalright Heatsink, with a push pull config, believe it or not it saves me anywere between 5-15 degrees from stock) |

| I would go Corsair power supply. So reliable. + if you Google it, there would be a lot of positive feedbacks on that particular psu brand. |

| Thanks wounded greeat advice. Ill try it now.
Virt: The 902 is cheaper than than themaltake as far as i can see. Also it is only slightly smaller, but its big enough for everything i want and more. Also it is very easy to clean which is a huge factor. |

| I tried it too, how the fuck do you stick your case in to the power? And is the plastic melting on the powerboard a bad sign? |
