I thought it might be interesting to read some of your clan stories, if you have particularly interesting ones.

I know for a lot of you it is simply "I PLAY'D CRYSIS AND JOINED FTW CAUSE IM DA BEST". but for those of you who have experienced other clans it may be a good read. This happened on my clan forum and everyone has been writing essays so I thought I would post mine up here.

Don't read if you can't stand long essays and occasional spelling mistakes .

Here it is, and I will warn you, its long:

Haha was a good read broken, very interesting, I like you have been around forever and have been directly involved in most events, excluding TF's failure. It was interesting how you mentioned UDF as a fail clan, I'm sure they would happy too see that .

Now I guess my clan story is in order, as others are interesting, I am hoping people are taking the time to read them.

Prepare for the interesting tale of DalekKing...

I was never much of a 'gamer', however my younger brother (not riley) is/was a super nerd. he was up to date with all of the info on the upcoming crysis game, which looked quite good. On its release date he gave it a whirl and I watched. He tried online multiplayer, and this was the first time anyone in our family had ever seen/played anything online. I had a few gos of it and was a total noob, and over the next month or so i had a go of crysis when he let me, until one day I stole the disk from him and installed it on my computer.

This it was that I got into playing an online FPS, not nearly as much as I do now (which is a sad thing). I spent the entirety of Crysis 1 as a nomad, using the ` key to change my name in game. My original names were as follows: DalekKing, DAlekking and dAlekKing. How I sucked, for months I played and NEVER got a kill until one day I finally got one. I never had the remotest interest in clans or the community, my whole goal was to get a kill lol.

eventually I applied for AoS on the off chance, of course I would have got rejected had I not declined myself first, but some encouraging words for sErBz and GazzFTW kept me playing (as I could now get kills at this point). + I still didn't know how to make a profile lol.

My nerd brother used to like crysis but now he hates it, he even claims to have trained DANGERDAN on DANGERDAN's first day of Crysis 1. If he ever goes online now he calls himself =|1Day|Caseface as a joke.

Thus came Crysis Wars and my eventual joining of TAG, an event that would lead to TAG's demise into the random group of annoying children it is today (they are aight but). My brother, Eclipse (then Rilord), played on my nerd brothers computer occassionally and eventually joined {TF}. SO I decided I may as well join a clan and remembered a previous offer from Leverage.L1 to join [TAG]. Clan gaming and talking to random people on the internet was not a thought I was entirely comfortable with at first, however Lev seemed alright and while I couldn't quite keep up with him I did well enough. I remember my first game in clan tags ([TAG]DalekKing) we saw the new DVC clan up in action and got pwned by -=DVC=-Tyrant (now =phX=Tyrant). This was in about March this year, how time flies...

TAG was good, it would in the space of a few months turn into a very successful clan, but for the moment it had classic players like Bigfish, Bell, Kano5003 and a bunch of people you wouldn't recognize now.

When [TAG]HaWk left to experience the life all teenagers in school should have, I was promoted to clan moderator. At this point TAG started growing, with the arrival of its new server [TAG]AusWars it had increased interest and popularity.

In came players like Crouchy and Psyphtoix, Shot (eventually), Cooch, Xg, Evil, Thruan, Bloodshadow, Pug, Dapony and theMaster and many others, the clan was about 20 people strong while I was moderator.

I did get fed up with TAG and had a desire to start my own clan, which I did in the form of =ScaR=. It didn't work out though and Eclipse, instead of co-running it with me, opted to stay in {TF}.

Then I got CoD4 and the clan officially expanded with me as the leader as the CoD section, psyphtoix always used to host a server and we would play. we scrimmed a few times and lost each time...but anyway we started having frequent large games with AoS and I was made a clan admin and all went swimmingly, or so it seemed...

With Chickenator's stupid stunt on the FTW forums the clan's reputation slid downhill and FTW lost all respect for TAG. Chickenator had always had problems with me being the leader of CoD and eventually his problems would ruin the clan. Also his and Leverages personal lives got too tied up into clan politics and they started fighting all the time. Lev struck first (a move I always attempt to make in problematic situations) and banned Chickenator when Chick spammed the TAG forums. Chickenator subsequently ruined TAG's servers and called them [TAG]SUCKSDICK. However Leverage's emotional issues and the fact that he knew Chick in real life meant that Chick was returned to the clan much to the disgust of its members (especially myself and madman).

Finally leverage's emotional issues gave way and he gave up gaming for good (like that lasted) and I was made tags leader. Some of you may remember that I used to make TAGs clan sigs and they were damn good! Anyway Jake set about bitching that I would ruin the clan and that my sigs sucked. Which was a bad move.

When the opportunity arose I banned Jake from TAG, removed him of his leadership and was prepared to sit triumphant; except he knew TAG's admin account and was able to reassert his position on the forum. Thus came the part many of you would remember, the great walkout from TAG. i led almost every member out of TAG and had my final victory on the clan. And by no means was it simply a walkout, we got the admin account, completely deleted and removed all trace of Chickenator and had the TAG forums sitting free. Some people wanted to stay with TAG and give it a fresh start, but my time with the clan was up. Madman was left in charge of TAG's remains, and I, along with Bloodshadow, Dapony, Psyphtoix, Zek99 and Shot set out into crysis, seeking the same goal but ending up in very different areas.

PART 2: CONCERNING ODC and the 1Day Clan.

Shot and I had toyed with the idea of restarting the {TF} clan, and calling it 'The Fallen', instead of 'The Forgotten'. Dapony was interested in the idea also and we agreed to have equal admin in any new clan we made. However the drive for a new clan was limited and I briefly joined xL, applied for OSD and inquired about UF (however after jumping on UF's vent for over 5 seconds I knew that clan would be a bad move).

[xL] didn't work out for me, as I had a major quarrel with one of its members.

Then came {ODC}. Its formation occurred while i was at work. and its details can be found on the about us page of this site. Here i will type the details I ignored there. However in simple form, Shot, Dapony and Psyphtoix won some scrims and made a clan. Since I was the only one with the know how to build a good forum and the reason they were in the situation in the first place I was made a co-leader along with the rest.

The clan was not successful, we got a few recuits, all the ex-TAG members joined, including Leverage.L1. We won 9 scrims and lost 2. Somehow Chickenator regained TAG's control (but that is a story for Madman to tell) and Madman came here. We got a server, however because of TAG's actions our reputation was not good.

After leaving TAG, leverage established [UDF] and Xg1234 established DAU (LOLOLOL Roadkills and Thruan) Dau failed quickly and XG and thruan joined ODC. Leverage's presence in my clan was simply to wait for an arguement that would allow him to take members to UDF. That arguement did come, when shot kicked xg out of the clan, and I temporarily removed his admin.
How a storm blew up! Next day I looked on the forum to find that almost all members had left the clan for UDF.

All that remained was myself, Bloodshadow, Thruan and Madman. Left with the ruins of ODC. However we stuck with it, and the rest is history.

no we original FTW members where invited into ts and becomes pretty good mates, 9 give or take. it was a couple of monthes of flogging each other and having to learn to shoot with a weapon with recoil that made us better the some...... we only put FTW tags on wen we descided to have a none competative team of mates. social clan. then we got the server up and the forums and all took off from there. competitions grew and problems started and we reshaped and now all is good..

FTW is the only clan for crysis ive been in....

Well.. One afternoon as i was getting ready for my night shift at work i noticed my boyfriend (currently my EX) playing some stupid shooting game on the TV (Which was connected to the computer)... I had about 3 hrs before i had to leave for work so i decided to sit down and watch him play. Well it seemed interesting watching guys with names above their heads such as =AoS=Avalost, MadMoose, DangerDan, =AoS=sErBz and Tailgunner, absoltuly SMASH my boyfriend to the ground. I thought it looked pretty interesting so i asked if i could have a go.. (And omg if i knew the kind of addiction that came with it i don't think i would of even asked).. Anyway after that i was hooked. I started playing under the name Jellybeangirl__xx in the EA server (Fuck that was a shit server LOL) and i was the biggest noob known to man.. Luckily enough Avalost and Dan were nice enough to take me under their wings and help me out alittle.

I then met {TF}Mr.Awesomeness and he was nice enough to show me a few things and help me to get better. (also keep in mind that instead of sleeping during the day, cause i was on night shift, i would play crysis from the moment i got home till the moment i left for work.. ADDICTED I WAS) Not long after that Dan and i stayed up for 3 days straight watching movies, havin a laugh etc when he mentioned the possibilty of a clan called [xL] opening and he wanted me to be the first clan member. I was so excited.. a clan actually wanted me.. so i joined.. I then played under [xL]Kelly_Jean and i was playing crysis every minute i was awake.. In between that time Ranger joined xL and took over most of the clan..

Eventually i started hanging out with the [TAG] boys having a HUGE laugh on Skype and really enjoying crysis even more. Till eventually Ranger didnt like it and kicked me from the clan. (After ofcourse i had a major arguement with him ).. So seeing as i was already hanging out with them i figured i would join [TAG] (I had fun times but was almost one of the biggest mistakes of my life..) Members such as Leverage, Chick3nator, Dalek, Madman and Vantera were all part of the tiny clan.. Eventually i started to get ALOT better and was doing pretty good.. I was constantly fighting with Leverage about his personal problems and about anything in general until i finally after being in tag for 3 months (the end of april) i quit the clan and went solo for a while...

I played under the name Kelly_Jean, Before i quit [TAG].. TriedmyWings aka "your_dog" spotted me out talking on game mic as a girl.. so Quacks told NO DEMANDED lol me to jump on TS to see if i really was a girl. And too his amazement i was.. Kept offering me to join FTW (Not because of my skill of blowjobs lol) and giving me training on strafing etc.. Helping me to get better.. and eventually i did.. but i declined as my heart was still in TAG.. I ended up loosing my job somewhere inbetween leaving tag and joining FTW and eventually i locked myself up in my room for 6 months and did nothing but played. (Which btw is how i got better) Eventually i quit and was going around single for a while but was hanging out with the FTW boys more and more.. I almost fell in love with them all. So i ended up joining a week before my birthday and started playing under the name MarllyFTW and now.. Here i am I love the FTW boys so much i consider alot of them like brothers to me.. I still love Crysis and enjoy it quite a bit.. I stoppedplaying for about 4 months (Due to personal issues) and I'm now living with Imbaladis trying to pick my aim back up and get back into it like i used to

My story.

I spoilt myself for Christmas by buying myself 2 PC games - Pro Street and Crysis 1

My knowledge for computers back then was shocking. I had the copy of crysis, but couldn't play it, cause my computer was that shit, that it would even load the game up lol. Eventually i bought a new graphics card, and soon came the addiction.

I played a few games on the internode server, clueless too know, how some of these players where running around punching cunts for the kill. Quacks being the mega macro king along with wounded. Stains. So soughted out looking for some advice in game.

=AoS= Alcoholic. He was the brief mentor at the start, showing myself how to set the settings of game and macros lol. These weren't macros for the Logitech G15, and G9. These were hot key macros. This bloke sent me a program that he made, making these macros. At the time i was thinking... what a geek. Cause he was giving info to a non computer literate individual lol. This recalls the time i was asking the people in the server for some in-game advice, i recall it being "How do i get the voice commands to work?" in game. quacks decides to help and says, oh, It's Alt F4 mate. Me being completely illiterate at the time, complied with his advice, falling for the Alt F4 trick. They all laughed. As i was still puzzled. I loaded the game up, and did it again. Till one of them told me that i got tricked. bastards!

i stay up a few late nights, playing in the AusServer. Flubberguts, myself, and quackers. shotties only. we played for hours, and for these hours i played, i literally got 4 kills to 120 deaths. i Shit you not. I was soooooooo shit. But i had soon found out why.

My computer was shit, 2.66 dual core with a shit mobo, 1G of ram, and a 8600GT. i thought my computer was gold! but did some reading into the game, and crysis was the most hardware-demanding game out there. An invitation from quacks to join ts soon came up, but i didn't put the effort at the time to downloading Team speak, because i thought it was creepy socialising with the computer. I thought quacks wanted to chat 1 on 1 lol, few weeks down the track it became clear that others where in this chatting service, and he convinced me enough to come as he mention "Even Gone Troppo is on here". I laughed. I knew how troppo played, with him around it made the game enjoyable. You would know what to expect when his name came up in game lol With this statement, it convinced me enough to join the boys in Team Speak hahaha true story troppo.


around this time, Serbz and myself were practicing a lot, soon came dangerdan. Trying to learn how to wall jump lol quacks took me under his wing, and showed me all the glitches... I MEAN Good! things to learn in game to become a better player. My addiction became great at this time, as i started to get better, and started to buy new parts for the computer. It was crysis who built the knowledge i have for computers, as i had built a computer all over again to enhance my gaming. I never thought i would get into this crap. But i did.

After hanging out with the boys more often on ts, i soon evolved into a FTW. First clan ever. probably the last.

its ok, i work alot of magic in the background in game on FTW server - not to brag but without me i dont think quacks would have known you were a girl =P

nar ill try to keep mine fairly short.

ill start by saying i wasnt computer illiterate when i started crysis, it wasnt the first fps ive played online. the first was probably quake when i was little then quake III arena. i also played FEAR a bit online but my computer was too shit, though i remember seeing the AoS tag on there a few times (i used a diff name then so they wouldnt have known me, plus i was shit)

i found out about crysis somehow, some article, and after dling the full vanilla and flogging it on single, i got Wars because it seemed like a bargain at $40 or so. it was also a genuinely interesting game for me, with a different game type. mainly the suit abilities to use strategically

i used to play on battlegrounds 24/7 as a nomad, then decided when i worked out what ping meant to play on aussie servers. another thing that helped me make that decision was actually working out how to play Power Struggle, which is now my favourite game type EVERRRRR.
(yes even i was once asking how to buy weapons and how to capture stuff)

there were more servers then, i played alot on internode and FTW, and i remember livingdeadgirl because thats the name of a rob zombie song as i pointed out. eventually they stopped being adminned and populated, and i spent more time on FTW because it was tighter adminned, less worry about hackers.

i would play at all kinds of crazy hours as well, and was just a general stain. my name of 'your dog' is a joke, mainly to poke fun at others as well as myself that i used from Quake times where it had lovely discriptions for frags, with a good name could turn out quite funny.
ie: your dog ate Nomad's rocket,
your dog committed suicide,
you fragged your dog.
also, despite the amount of people who write my name with an underscore, the underscore is not included in game. when quacks originally tried giving me admin powers it didnt work but without a complex character or space in the name it worked alot better. eventually server side it was enforced any spaces or complex characters would be changed into an underscore.

explains a bit there, also the night before i had been sniping n wasnt doing too bad, had a bit of fun with wounded n i think i was taunting him and calling him shit despite the fact he kicked my arse. got a few good shots in though.

i didnt actually get in FTW for a while, it came about after many late nights in game on the server, fucking around with Quacks spawning shit and failing to do some LUA coding or getting my own server to run. he eventually just said one day 'why dont you put your tags on already' and had allowed me to use FTW tags in game, so finally i did.


i also remember alot of other players used to play and a few others that got into FTW same time as me, though ive not been on anywhere near as long as the core FTW members. quite a few FTW members today though, the newer ones if you could call us, would all just play on FTW and have fun. get on FTW TS and chat, and eventually just were allowed to join.
i remember messing around with buckethead too, and a player called Turkey, who no longer seems to play anymore.

i also messed around heaps with Jarhead, Winy/Someboddyyy and WTF/Faith, and lots of other players.


but the rest is just general history. ive enjoyed playing with the FTW guys alot although sometimes i have disappeared for a month or a bit more altogether and come back to play more crysis, though hopefully it wasnt that regular.
the best times have definately been on custom maps, when i had admin powers to ban hackers (which i caught a few of, but after a few events ive lost most of them and its better that way), and also when i would go under different names and try to kill particular FTW members while taunting them.
the most fun to try and kill have been OB1 and Wounded, though alot of the good FTW members kept me happy with being such a crazy challenge. Bladeva/Hope was also alot of fun although he only talked rarely and has stopped playing.

the most ive learnt has been from playing against FTW and AoS as well as other players, and a few tips theyve given me which i eventually made into a massive thread you can find in my signature, teaching people how to play.
i was going to make a video tutorial and have many many gigabytes of footage but havent done anything about that in a long time, due to trying to focus on my personal life and the declining interest in Wars (although it does keep spiking again, making me think i should just finish them)

Used to be a Battlefield player, was in a BF2142 clan in which we scrimmed and were shout casted kicking the fuckn shit out of the other team, kind of got bored with 2142 after a short while, was into CoD MW but no clans then I bought Crysis back in the day when my pc would struggle to run it. Played single player until i could do the levels with my eyes closed and take every possible route learn the weapons etc inside out and ability's. One day decided to jump onto the net to have a game found the node server and started playing away. I think i had a reasonable score and was asked by Quacks and Ob1 or a few fellas to jump onto ts and pretty much kept with it from then on. Good bunch of mates and unlike the BF2142 clan (who had the mentality it was BF2142 or nothing) the diversity of games etc in this clan isnt so fround upon.

For me I played my first MP game when Crysis came out, have played PC games since i was young on the old IBM XT the olds had. Yes im showing my age now lol.
Started playing on Node as all AU players did back then. Got on well with Node Crysis admins Living Dead Girl (LDG) and Sudden Death as they were round my age (or a bit older) and married to each other. Eventually joined the {FB} clan they were a part of which was originally a Farcry 1 clan. Then soon after became an Internode Crysis Admin, to which i still am.
Spent many many late nights on the Node servers with all the boys, Troppo, Quacks, Wounded, Nano, bobby, Blood, bootsy, Carts, OB, gazz etc etc all trying to gang up on Alcho rofl.....became good friends with all and floated between {FB} and Quacks TS. Then Quacks got hold of his modded files and started his server from home, man we had some fun rofl
After the "rift" between Quacks and (node/LDG) and the subsequent formation of the FTW clan and the formation of the FTW dedicated server, Node servers were left dead so I started playing alot more on FTW rather than Node (much to LDG's dislike).
Eventually she gave up playing games and alot of the FB boys stooped playing wars and went on to FARCRY 2. I was the only FB player in Crysis.
I kept playing Crysis ALOT and watched as FTW formed, one day Quacks said come and join FTW you are virtually one of us anyway lol

So I did and I must say I have met some great people through this game and this clan, to which i am very greatful!
I still remember Bobby's welcoming quote when I joined up......"welcome home brother"

yea good ol cos was in it from the start as was troppo, quacks, wounded, bob, carts, ob, sgtkiller, myself, jimmy, nasty and few more then there was charlie, our clan failure . but good mate <<<(only reason we are keeping him, cause skill = fail)

cos, wen you said you met some great people you forgot yo say and allready new a legend from farcry, i was better at farcry then you were ;P but you always tried though lol.

lol bladeva and alco, both quacks fav mates, and everyone in the clan used to rage at them, minus wounded being the only one back then good enough for a challenge....

I got Crysis 1 somewhere near its release... played that until Wars came out, bought Wars then got tired of it in a few months and now don't play.

That summarises my non-existant Crysis clan history - Ta Da!

I was originally a Battlefield 2 player and played for clan DcS for about a year until crysis came out and after having only a few games i was instantly addicted and stopped playing bf2. http://bf2s.com/player/83342505/

The first thing I noticed about crysis was how shit the ingame voice was so after a few weeks i decided to work out how to run a team speak server and thought i would invite a few of the guys who i was having games with every day and attempting to use the in game voice.
First person to jump on team speak with me was Wounded the homo who I use to abuse in game alot cause he was constantly pwning me, after a while we had a tight bunch of guys on teamspeak everynight having a laugh as we were playing.

I started toying with doing modifications to a server that i use to run from home, running custom maps and getting the day night cycle working.
After i had a little dissagrement with one of the Node admins with a rule they put in place i got the shits and went out and got my own server..

Pretty much everything has esculated from there to what it is today.

I remember the fist time i come across Quacks in game, I'd had Crysis from the day of release and started playing Mp straight away, as this was the first FPS i had played since the original Doom (on my state of the art 386 pc) i sucked ass big time! i used to be in TF for a while left before they disbanded. played solo for 2months then i went and applied for FTW. got along with the boys and from there on till now ive been with FTW.

Anyway it was a normal day as usual. I was thinking about buying Crysis Warhead and knew it would be good as i used to play the first Crysis. So with the money i had gotten from my birthday a few days earlier i decided to buy it.

So my bro and i drove to the normal shopping center as we usually did. Went straight into EB games and bought Crysis Warhead. I was so excited as i heard good ratings from the story and the MP "Crysis Wars".
As soon as i got home i turned my computer on and started to install Crysis.

As i was waiting anxiously for the bloody thing to install it finally finished. I started playing the story, i thought it was awesome. The next two days i had finished playing the story and was a bit disappointed about how short it was.

But i didn't worry as i knew Crysis Wars would make up for it. So i started playing the MP and boy was i such a noob. I got killed everytime, but i at least got a few kills. Then i noticed a lot of people with FTW after there names as i was in the FTW server.

I thought to myself hmmmm must be a clan. After a few days of playing Crysis Wars i got a bit better but was still shit at it. I thought i might as well join a clan, it would be fun to play with people and socialize.

That's when i tried to join FTW. They didn't accept but i wasn't that sad. There were a lot of clans out there. That's when i stumbled upon [TAG]. I had joined it at the right time, at its best. But as everyone knows after a few fun long months it started to crumble and shit its self.

Then i joined {ODC} after a few days it was created. It was good and fun playing with former members of [TAG]. But then that went downhill a bit after incidents of the banning of a member. Then i rejoined [TAG] as Leverage went back and thought it was all good from there.

But i was wrong. It all failed badly again and the clan had begun to shit its self again. Then with former members i joined [UDF]. It was quite successful and was enjoying it. But the clan weren't doing any scrims and was just failing.

That's when i re-joined {ODC} now known as =|1Day| and saw it being very successful. It is all going well now and have fitted in well.


And that is my story.

Lol ! on a good day i still can get scores like that ROFL.
