Hey guys, I just moved house to live with the GF and wanted to take my optus ADSL2+ plan with me 20gb + (40gb yes) no uploads. They told me couldnt do it as there were no open slots at her exchange......I said she has an optus ADSL2+ acc also that we wanted to swap for my plan...thet would open a slot! (we are both out of contract also) They said it doesnt matter, dont work that way!! So i said ok disconnect my service on Friday along with my landline.

This is where it gets interesting....i set my pc up at the GF's and connect both PC's up in a home network with MY modem/router, i am ready to go in and change the settings to get it going (with her username /pass) and it connects by itself and i start browsing the web....i check my usage on optus and it is using my data.....so OPTUS accounts arnt tied to a particular landline at all you can use any account on any landline as loing as its got an exhisting optus account on it already.......they shit me so bad!!! It will prob all stop when they disconnect my landline at the other place on friday anyway but will call em tomoz to give em a piece of my mind.....
They said an account in my name couldnt be used on another landline in someone elses name....BULLSHIT!

Cos. (pissed off)

Interesting i suggest u post your exact same post at www.whirlpool.net.au in the optus section alot of optus users and theres some optus supervisors there that can work this out and see whats going on. I was under the impression that you cannot plug your modem in at anyones house with codes on the line and start using your account...
