Simple XML question Empty
PostSubject: Simple XML question   Simple XML question EmptyMon Jan 18, 2010 11:39 am

Hi guys, just wondering if anybody could give me a simple yes or no answer to a simple XML question ( I hope i can ask it simply).

When XML is dealing with key inputs e.g. CRYSIS, is it possible for an action to have TWO POSSIBLE KEY OPTIONS? As in, if i press E it changes to strength and if i press the mouse5 it will also change to strength?

Thanks for taking the time to read and thanks even more if you happen to respond.

I know if you press E and I think number 8 above the letters U & I on your keyboard they will both change you to strength. I think its 8 not sure.

just pressing 8 changes you to strength i think

4 changes you to armor mode, 5 is Equipment, 6 is speed. maybe its 7 thats strength and 8 is cloak.
i use 4 to quickly get back to armor mode if im running around because id also press 3 to get my weapons out. means i dont need to move my aim as well while changing suit modes

nah it won't work, the hotkey for it is taken up and i was seeing if i could have two hotkeys to it, one activating a keybind and the other just changing to strength.

what is it youre trying to do? there may be other ways.

i take it youve had a look at the actionmaps.xml in your ...My Documents\My Games\Crysis Wars\[profilename] directory?

you could try changing stuff in there to see if it gets what you want.. i guess?

Bingo your dog, my E key changes to strength mode AND punches, but what if i just want to change to strength mode? can't do fast strength jumps when it punches first, so that's why im wondering if i can have two key options for an action, one initiating the keybind and the other just for strenghth.

press C and use the mouse like most people do? =P
thats how i get into my suit modes.

or

pressing 4 once makes you armor, pressing 4 twice makes you speed, three times is strength, four times is cloak.
you could do that. maybe change strength to the double tap so you get there faster.
