I was wondering how one would get a new one short of purchasing the game all over again. I remember people saying you could buy them but from where?

Go into EB, buy the game, take it home write down CD key, go back to eb, say it didnt work on your computer, return game for refund (within 7 days)

Haha Ubberman the fact that they know you've installed the game and it hasn't worked therefore means the game has been registered most eb's will not let you do it if you've activated the game... however i'm sure its been done b4.. when i bought l4d some cunt had done what you'd done and taken the game back after using the key... so i had to go get a new copy... doing shit like that ubberman is ultrafaggotry go kill yourself.
