OK so ive just moved house recently, moved pretty far from my old house and decided to go with node. I now have adsl2+, and get download speeds around 250-300kb/s. This is a much quicker net then my old one, and i go to play on games such as crysis/cod and im getting bad ping and really bad lag spikes. The net just seems unstable. Any suggestions to make it smoother or to get no lag? Is there some settings i can do with my new modem to make it better?

duno, ive been told adsl2 is unreliable as you share the bandwidth with everyone in the area.

oh really? that would explain why i get 80kb sometimes then it would shoot to 200 in like 5 seconds

Um get off wireless then mate... get a cable and run that straight to your modem/router and woolah no lag!.

yeh i was using temp wirelss yesterday. and i was just getting the worst lag. 840pings etc. very unreliable. go with wired

closer then to my old house, and im going to be moving closer to it soon aswell. When i move it i will try the cable and see if that works.
