I am trying to convince the old girl that BIGPOND is charging too much for adsl 1.5Mbs connection
Now the dilemma is that currently we have no offerings of adsl2 down in my town still and it's pissing me off abit really so we can only obtain 1.5Mbs speeds

Currently it's 69.95 minus bundle costs which take it to 49.95 I think but we are constantly getting capped as its 12GB limit includes uploads, is there any plans anyone can offer that ALSO dont charge for capping but just decrease speed and have better bandwidth limit?

im on a node plan thats like 50 or 60 for 1.5mb with 20gb cap i think, personally i think im getting ripped coz they wont give me adsl2, but i get really good speed.

adsl2+ is 20000/1024 60 gigfor 150 bucks at 2mbits. they are great quality if youhave the money. i have the money but thy fucked me over so im leaving them, i have founda newish isp called motiv, did a line test from the services and i will get a constant 2.4mbits 24000/1024 adsl2+ with 80 gig 50 onpeak and 30 off peak for 59 bucks. thats fuken awesome, they offered me 100gig on 20 offpeak for 89 bucks, that is wicked. love em, even if i dont getthe topend 2 mbs dl that i ussually get they will still be good

TPG is cheap and high download usage, but node is probably the best quality of service if you have the money.

As far as I know the fastest I can get on landline will be 1.5Mbs connection. Fuckin shit since I used to have 24Mbs connection when I was in perth.

if you can get 1.5 you should be able to get 8mbit as it uses the same equipment. Cockstra just enabled it to run at that speed. all comes down to how far away from the exchange you are
