Can anyone explain this to me? I was jumping off cliffs for fun, when suddenly i tilted to view down (In third person) and my little crysis chap folded his arms up and dived like a skydiver.

coz when your skydiving and you want to go straight down you straighten out.

Is it possible to do this when you aren't sliding down a wall? - Like when you are in mid air, because my camera doesn't let me tilt it down very far.

not sure but i think its a third person thing.

If ur playin around in editor, press f1 to go to 3rd person. Then u can do this by jumping and pushin the mouse up so the camera behind the character is looking down. Its an animation designed for friendly npcs to do in single player.
