hey guys, i was wondering if you could give me a hand with some server stuff

Ive tried using a couple of admin mods and web-admin ones but i cant get them to work fully :S
just wondering what admin mod you guys use.

id be very grateful if u could help me out

do you think u could give me some exact details pleasE?

some files (like vehicle properties and some weapon settings) run server side, while other client side (textures, etc). you can only include files that run server side, so you can only make a very limited number of changes like weapon damages and custom vehicle types. the only files i'd touch are in game/scripts/entities, and you can place them in the ssm pak file. All the other mods can be done through the ssm, which requires a little knowledge of LUA

ok thanks mate, yea the only files i have edited are some hand held weapons like the SOCOM.xml c4.xml and a couple of others also changed the normal weapons heavy vehicle with gauss

ok i'm assuming the server runs fine but you get disconnected when you try to join with the wrror 'client hash mismatch..."
the problem is crysis's internal cheat protection designed to block people using modded files is detecting the difference between the server's files and yours. What you have to is follow these instructions:

na, it wasnt that at all, it just killed the server completely haha wen it got rebooted it never cameback online

i know i've already pm'd you this info, but this is what you need to do once you follow wounded's instructions and get pb running

1: open the crysis wars/PB/pbsv.cfg file in notepad (make sure punkbuster is enabled)

2: add the following lines

1: connect to the server, then in the server console type pb_plist

5: find the really long string of letters and numbers beside your name. that is your guid

4: when ingame, open the console and type pb_rcon followed by the command you want to use, e.g:
pb_rcon x_spawn clerk 0 singularityprojectile

those only work if you have ssm running on your server, otherwise use pb_power ingame to find their punkbuster slot, then use either:
pb_rcon pb_sv_kick slot# time (i think thats how it is)
pb_rcon pb_sv_ban slot#

you shouldn't include the port with pb_sv_httpaddr
so it should look like:
pb_sv_httpaddr "8.6.2.205"

if you type 8.6.2.205:9030 in your browser when the server is running you should be able to access the web admin tool. if that works then try the ingame admin

and another thing, my PB GUID will be the same across all games right?

if you mean all servers, than yes it will because its locked to your CD key. But if you mean other games (like cod, etqw etc) than no it won't because your using different cd keys

ok there are 2 problems with your config:
1. in server.cfg you need to add the line net_pb_sv_enable true or punkbuster won't be enabled
2. in pbsv.cfg pb_sv_httpport should be set to 9030 to avoid problems

because i got my GUID for the original crysis so i used that, but obviously that wont work, thanks...

coz its alot easier in crysis you just need to type like pbsv_myguid or something
