Would I be able to use both cards of a 295 if I use it with my gigabyte ep45 extreme board, which supports crossfire but not sli? I know its 2 seperate cards attached in SLI but because its a single pci slot does it need an sli mobo or is it fine to buy one?

if its a single gtx295 it should run fine, i thought it took care of the two cores itself?

single pcb is exactly the same as the 2 pcb one, only thing is it uses less parts and so is cheaper, and sli has to be enabled for the 2 cores to work so i wouldnt know if i need an sli mobo or not

edit: used 'the google' a bit, looks like its fine unless i want to use more than one 295

good choice of card clerk....p.s you can use another cheaper card for physX in the spare pci slot as you know...that will last you a long time on the new games side....i can play all the latest releases like Batman, Section 8, NFS...that use physx on full spec/full res/aa etc. and runs/looks awesome, u wont be dissapointed!

what i've decided to do is get a gtx275 now because my stupid brothers giving me $300 for my gtx260 so that covers the cost of one of those ($270 from MSY) and then once the dx11 cards are released (gtx395... oooooohhh yeahhhhh) i can then waste my money on one of those beasts
