"Operation Payback is a coordinated group of attacks on internet piracy opponents by internet activists. It started as retaliation to distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks on torrent sites, piracy proponents decided to launch DDoS attacks on piracy opponents in return. It snowballed from there into a wave of attacks on several major anti-piracy groups. Operation Payback is affiliated with Anonymous.[1] In December 2010 Operation Payback organizers focused their attention on DDoS attacks on websites of companies that oppose WikiLeaks.[2]"

In December 2010, the whistle-blowing website WikiLeaks came under intense pressure to stop publishing secret United States diplomatic cables. Corporations such as Amazon, PayPal, Swiss Postal Finance, MasterCard and Visa either stopped their dealings with or froze donations to Wikileaks, some because of political pressure. In response, Operation Payback directed their activities against these companies for dropping Wikileaks. The group launched DDoS attacks against PayPal, the Swiss bank PostFinance, and the Swedish Government site (Åklagarmyndigheten=Swedish Prosecution Authority), in retaliation for coming down on WikiLeaks.[54][55][56] On the 8th of December 2010, a coordinated DDoS attack by Operation Payback brought down both the Mastercard and Visa website.[57]

Wikileaks is only the messenger & everybody knows you don't shoot the messenger the truth of the matter is SOMEONE!! from their own governments departments is letting Asange's website have the Information to put out their so he's only letting out the hidden truths I don't condone what is being done but I don't think that the governments that represent the people ie: us should have secrets GO THE FRO'

Remember STFU or be silenced. i say within 50 years a global dictatorship will take be in place, or as Obama likes to say "Global citizenship" Wikileaks is as true of a media, one can ever expect from the public, it serves to expose the truth about governments worlwide, i say, why arnt government supporting it? oh wait -.-

wikileaks is only being attacked out of principal. the shit thats gotten out isnt really that important, just a bit incriminating. the worst the media could find about australia was that we were "un-influential" which isnt new. people just need to harden the fuck up.

who would be 'influenced' by Australia...what are we gonna do...sanctions? war? lol. Australia should just become a nuclear powerhouse, we've got the best resources in the world and we could pump them out like no tomorrow! But that wont happen, we're freindly Oh yea and annex NZ haha

lol kill julian assange and I think there would be HUUUUUGE Ddos attacks constantly from across the globe, he wouldnt condone it but you have to know people will retaliate in their own ways. Won't happen anyway, people just laughing at that pair of slack jaws.
This is an excellent counter argument for Julian Assange, well plotted and well thought out. 5 minutes of excellent political speech.
