| Well it felt like an eternity but finally dodo bb have got there $hit together and I’m now online again My new house has only one phone line in the kitchen. So im running a 15M Ethernet cable it from the kitchen to the comp room. I’m thinking of installing the phone line myself....maybe: P anyone ventured there before?? My inner walls are that gyp rock stuff so running a cable down the wall wouldn’t be too hard I could imagine. (@ the moment it’s an OH&S kid discovery hazard, FTL)....I’m keen for a game or two regardless of my situation lol!!! |

| Cool sgt, that maybe a better option for me and possibly legal to so run the Ethernet through the wall across the roof and down the wall of the kitchen a port here and one in the kitchen for neatness. I don’t want a cable hanging out of the wall. Mite need more cable though to make it. |

| Lol i have a 15m Ethernet cable running from my office router all the way to my lounge, i use board pins in the top edge of the wall and zip tieds to hold the cable to the pins lol, the only downside i cant close the door in the hallway and office unless i want to cut the cable. |

| muaha, dodgeys, I ran mine under the house and drilled a tiny hole through the floor and carpet, once you remove the cable you wouldn't know any different. I'd prefer to set up an ethernet wall socket though for looks and have a smaller cable running into the computer for that professional look. Stupid fucking phone companies should work with power companies and make a new cable that you only have to plug your power cable into and it can recieve phone singals and power your comp and act as ethernet. Like hdmi for phone and power! |

| Mate just go to dick smiths or some shit like that and buy 15m of 4 core (solid core) phone wire and some connecters. If you pull the cover off the wall plate where the line comes in, you should be able to join colour to colour. Run the cable up the wall (inside) across in the roof and down to your computer room, fit another phone plate and your done! Sould then have two phone conections, easy! |

| Two phone ports sounds good, it would be silly to add Ethernet port here when I might as well run a phone line. Then the routers in the room with the pc. Easy job...ill find out and well day off 2mo, so looks like jobs on! Speaking of cats, we have a sphynx and it knows not to fuck around with my wires, but it does enjoy the output of heat from my tower. hahaha |

| Ok finally job done with lots for four lettered words I had a mate from work that had done around 25 years in Telecom/Telstra give me a hand. We tried everything possible but without x-ray vision its was the blind leading the blind. The end result was 6 hours of fucking around in a roof which was 50 degrees only chuck it all in the to hard basket, and operate. Theres nothing such as a 5 min job ..ever! This is what I had to do with a box cutter .... See that angled beam, that there is a cunt of a setup fucking builders WTF man. Why they couldnt just run conduit stright down is behond me. Beneath that shit is anther hole this time fucking off set. So we managed to run the lot back through + phoneline with the part of the wall missing now. Austar,TV cable and Phoneline. So when all else fails think bigger picture This is the end result, wouldnt even know its been cut hahahahahahaha. Job complete!!! White |

| Gyprock AKA Plaster board ... has nothing to do with cement sheeting AKA concrete
You can punch a hole in gyprock, shit if you lean on it too hard you break the shit ... If you try it with cement sheeting you will break the bones in your fist |
