Don't know what you guys get for bandwidth, but my 100Mbps UP/Down doesn't do great from Japan to Oz.

100 Mbps would be lovely, but the best we got here is 20 Mbps and thats if you live at the exchange, so get over it.

No matter how fast your internet is, your ping is still the time travelled through multiple routers, so even if you had dial up, you would still get roughly the same ping as someone with adsl2+, as in your case

He isn't talking about ping, he's talking about bandwidth.
I don't have adsl2+ although it would be nice. I have cable, which is the next best thing.
