Dubbed Ivy Bridge, these will be manufactured using a 22nm process compared to Sandy Bridge’s 32nm fabrication process. ...the first Ivy Bridge processors may be released for high-end and enthusiasts markets first... That sounds very much like alot of you lot with too much money to spend
"Not much is known about Ivy Bridge, though Intel CEO Paul Otellini said it’s “on track for delivery in the second half of next year.” I guess wounded will be asking for all your "old stuff" again very soon ?

I have a IBM XT
"The standard XT originally came with 128kB of memory, a 360kB double-sided 5.25" full-height floppy disk drive, a 10MB Seagate ST-412 hard drive with Xebec 1210 MFM controller, an Asynchronous Adapter (serial card with 8250 UART) and a 130W PSU. The motherboard had eight 8-bit ISA expansion slots, and an Intel 8088 microprocessor running at 4.77 MHz"
p.s. I really did have one of these as a kid..lol

CONCLUSION: The 6870 is an INCREDIBLE card, performance almost the same as a 5870 (probably will overtake once drivers evolve), costs $65 less and has about double 5870 performance in tesselation. In crossfire they are even better, scaling is INCREDIBLE, in crossfire they absolutely DESTROY a 5970, and 5870s in cfx are also annhilated. Single card performance they beat the gtx 470 also.

yeah they really rape nvidia for performance vs price.... Go AMD
Someone at Nvidia decided to add the rumored GeForce GTX 580 on the list of graphics cards that supports the company’s 3D Vision technology. Of course, the 580 hasn’t been announced yet, but that didn’t stop Geeks3D.com from spotting the leak, taking a screengrab, and immediately blogging about it.
Needless to say, the listing is now gone from Nvidia.com, but the leak confirms the speculation that the new card will be available soon and will be competing against AMD’s forthcoming Radeon HD 6900 series of boards. The 580 is rumored to have 512 CUDA cores, 2GB of DDR5 memory, and 128 texture units, according to Fudzilla. It will supposedly be based on the new 40nm GF110 GPU, and like previous Fermi cards, should be a power-guzzling beast.
http://www.hardwareheaven.com/news.php?newsid=1747 Nvidia is preparing to launch its GF110-based GeForce GTX 580 by the end of November or early December 2010 with performance 20% faster than its current GeForce GTX 480, according to sources from graphics card makers.
and finally: http://vr-zone.com/articles/report-nvidia-to-paper-launch-geforce-gtx-580-in-november/10093.html Report: NVIDIA to "paper-launch" GeForce GTX 580 in November With AMD's Radeon HD 6000 series just around the corner, rumours about Nvidia's response has been filling the internet. SemiAccurate reports that Nvidia is preparing to paper-launch the GTX 580 next month, to counter AMD's release of Cayman / HD 6900. The actual cards, however, will only be available in January/February 2011. Codenamed GF110, the GTX 580 is rumoured to be only a mildly updated version of the GF100, and significant improvements are not expected (unlike the Radeon HD 6000 series).
...The concept of a paper-launch well before actual availability will surely not go down well with the tech community. But then, Nvidia has never been far from controversy in recent times. If it does happen in November, Nvidia's obviously trying to get buyers to wait for the GTX 580 series instead of the Radeon HD 6900. Unfortunately, consumers are by now wary of Nvidia's recent launch delays, and are unlikely to hold their breath. That said, things have improved a great deal since the GF104 launch.
Well Illicit, looks like the competition is heating up and it is the consumers that are the winners. Guess Santa will be getting alot more letters from you all !

Its true, "technology is capable of expressing and being en-viewed with a certain generosity" have u ever made a program that thanks you for your input?!! =P
Im really curious to see how this work in reality, and compared to how we use our computer, id really LOVE to see games run on that.... Will force a more proactive young community, instead of the current one we have now :p
With time, it will be more accurate, more precise, its just a matter of time XD just like CRT / LCD, PS2 / USB, 128kb of HD and TB's of HD, all that in under 10 years, with 10 more years this technology will be the norm.
