GRID menu problem.

I installed the Skullptura version, then clicked the shortcut, it went fine through the intro movie, and then when it gets to the menu, and the voice tells me to set up my username and password, it screws up and theres just triangles of random colours on the screen lol, this happens with Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X too =S

does anyone know what the problem is?

yea check out all your hardware drivers and make sure they all up to date.

also another thing you can do is go to start menu, go to 'run' type in dxdiag.exe and 'save all information' then post the text up in here, will give us a better knowledge of what you have in the computer and what may be leading to these issues.

also try older drivers. Seeing as Grid is a little older now, any new driver revisions could have problems with it?

Worth a crack...

I'm not sure what part you guys need to know from the DxDiag.txt, so I uploaded the whole thing to rapid share: http://rapidshare.com/files/260127755/Poobah_s_DxDiag.txt.html

Here's the screenshot of the menu where it says type in your user profile, using fraps, thanks Imbaladis:

So it is most likely the graphics driver, yeah? I'll try to find it before I wipe the old one, as it's pretty hard to find and I don't think that the ati website even has it =/

Mmmm what sort of video card do you have?, and do you have a laptop or desktop?
I have a lappy and i use a utility called Mobility Modder Net to modified desktop drivers to work on my laptop. Easy as to use and works wonders =)

Ok dude download ATI mobility utility from this link: ATI mobility Modders, you might also want to download latest drivers from ATI for the desktop equivalent.

Then use Driver Sweeper from my previous post, restart you comp and you know that you have no drivers install went you get basic 256 color at 640x480 res next time you install windows.

Then if you have UAC disable (if you dont then type msconfig on menu/run and then go to the tools tab and lauch UAC option, Then restart you comp).
Once that happens run the latest driver and unpack them but dont install them, run ATI mobility modders and link it to where the lastest driver unpack (Usually C:\ATI\[Some folder with the version of the drivers).
Then run the drivers and restart you system went you finish installing it.

And gigity gigity goo you should have stable system no more GRID problem.
