Ok so basically tonight the server had 16 people in it.
Two players for eg. [TAG]et_fone_home and GOD_OGRISH we're sniping and shooting into base.
Now i explained to them that shooting into base was classified as base rape (And before anyone eats their knickers i wasnt being a authority figure i was just stating a point that it was wrong and i went and got Troppo).
Now et has then told me he knew nothing about server rules etc so i sent him in the direction of the forums or just typing in Rules. Now the very first rule is

1.No aircrafts are to fire into enemy base headquaters or destroy opponent behicles inside the base.
Exception= Tanks or any vehicles firing from base may be fired upon.

Now the thing i wanna clarify up is, OGRISH stopped shooting at us with the vtol. But ET contioued sniping us. Now it doesn't state anywhere in the rules about 'BASE RAPING'. I was just curious as to.. Is this allowed?
Because it's a real big pain in the fuckin' ass trying to get out the door when the next thing you know a bullet is flying straight inbetween your eyes.

Can someone just clarify me on it because it's really annoying and im sure not everyone appreciates it. I'm also not trying to sound like a douche and tell people what to do i just think it's a rule that should be made up.. Gettin shot at in base is a fuckin' pain in the ass because it's the only place on the ENTIRE MAP you can actually feel safe and not feel like your gunna have your head blown off by a tank or vtol or some noob with a pistol etc.

So yeah if someone can stop me from raging about this.. that would be awesome Thx

im pretty sure since i was playing that ALL shooting into the base of ANY kind is disallowed..

shooting into the base of any kind is against the rules, unless the ppl in the base are shooting out, if they are just moving around u CANNOT attack them.

remind me tonight and i will update the server message with the correct rule, and i will fix the rule on the forum soon.

My stance is that if you are adept enough then you should be able to take the sniper out, all it takes is another sniper to return the favour, vehicles (Aircraft) are another thing.

I think the issue here though, that to get in this position that there would undoubtedly be a skill stack which should be resolved first. It's a flow on effect from skill stack to base raping (Base Sniping) where players and admins especially, need to watch for and correct.

These sorts of habits are the driving forces behind the rather small crysis community and is the reason these rules are enforced
